McCormack beat the wall off a free kick and kicked us right in the gnashers. What now? Emil, Feeney and,,,,cleared, Pratley, Moxey....Pratley and.....Davies and....cleared and they break. Ref plays one for us to huge cheers but eventually they get the throw. Pringle, O'Hara, we get it back. The Moxey man sets us off, we get a free and Dobie comes on for Madine.

Zach's gone. Replaced in the 80th minute for Heskey, who's scored his goal for this twelvemonth.

Who did, in fairness, create a goal, by fouling for the free-kick McCormack scored.

Anyway never mind, Dobbie's on! (For Madine)

In, they clear, we break back and......ohhhhhhhhhh Feeney misses one. Goal kick as a gold-plated chance goes begging. Oh, if only.......Time almost up. Free kick us freom halfway and......and......and....a pen claim and....missed and we lose it. They sally, we recover, Davies, Danns, Holding, four mins added announced and.......

The come and......hit the bar, ffs.

"Attempt missed. Emile Heskey (Bolton Wanderers) right footed shot from the centre of the box is high and wide to the right."

Our 16th shot, and our 13th off-target. All three accurate shots were Zach's (he had one saved just before his first goal).

Moxey and......Ivanhoe shaves one wide. Crowd wide awake now and micmen are loving the game. And....ref misses another and they get a corner instead. And....and.....Dobie breaks but we lose out. Feeney and.....Amos and....Holding goes and......and.....a Fulham thow. Four mins up and.......and.....and.....Holding and.....it goes to Lonergen. Throw......and........and......they clear and....whang one over. Holden gives a throw away and.......and.....it's over. 2-2 qnd it could have been so different....

That sounded like it was the most professional half of the season. Shame we couldn't see it out. Was the Clough substitution necessary? :(

I hope it was as it would have been the most idiotic substitution of the season.

I spy a disconnect there. Throwing away that kind of (very welcome, well-done) comeback is far from professional.

Hmm. Well, he's probably a bit leggy, just coming back. But also I can see the point in bringing on a big man for the last few minutes. For one, it might stick to him up front in a way it wouldn't stick to Zach; for another, he's an extra defensive option if they start lobbing in Hail Marys.

However, all that carefully-constructed defence of the substitution rather falls apart when you realise we then subbed off Madine (target man) for Dobbie (not a target man).

If only that big man hadn't conceded the foul for the equaliser. Is that another disconnect?

Entertaining game, shame we couldn't hang on but a draw was probably a fair result.

Amos and Holding aside, at half time they could have all fecked off on Bosmans for me, but 2nd half they showed a lot more character. Feeney easily the motm imo.

They're a limited bunch of triers who are going down, but they gave it a good go today.

Yes, as I pointed out at the time, albeit not in successive sentences.

See maybe I'm in denial/deranged but I think we're staying up. Sure, we're gash but we're not relegation gash.

How very frustrating
I lose mobile signal just as Clough scores :hang:
I beg a rag to interrupt his misery to tell me our score :hang:
And he tells me we've won 2-1
Only to find when signal's back that's bollox :hang:

 well and truly. Us and Charlton, we've been twinned.
If we can't beat a side with no manager, at home, in our latest must win which we haven't won... we've no chance. I'm really really not looking forward to Rotherham.

You watch. Bolton'll string a run of 8 wins back to back in the new year and we'll all wonder what all the fuss were about.

I'm telling ya.
