Apparently Chris Eagles is about to be kicked out of Bury. I'd have him back.

Will he play for free?Bruce Rioja wrote:Apparently Chris Eagles is about to be kicked out of Bury. I'd have him back.
Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
He is arguably our most prized asset and is contracted until 2019. But who is to judge what that's worth?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:how cheap?BWFC_Insane wrote:Nixon claims Birmingham want Clough on the cheap.
Haven't they just got £3.7m for selling Gray to Leicester? If that's the case I'd be wanting at least £2m, all up front.

But this could be his year!throwawayboltonian wrote:He's made a combined total of 17 appearances across three clubs since leaving us, including two teams that are a tier below us (for the time being) - and has been released from each assuming Bury do too. That to me doesn't indicate the occasionally fantastic, creative player he was for us briefly in the Championship.Bruce Rioja wrote:Apparently Chris Eagles is about to be kicked out of Bury. No thanks, even if we could pay him. At his best he was often anonymous, occasionally brilliant; now he appears to be simply absent entirely from teams.

His old man has tweeted a picture of a load of Newspapers with the words "PMSL" so that's hopefully him saying it's of no substance at all

Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
I think Clough's worth to us is greater than what his actual market value would be, if that makes sense. To us not only is he our greatest/only goal threat, selling him would be devastating for morale and he'd be impossible to replace (not least because we wouldn't replace him).
I think the jury is out as to whether he can make it as a top player in the Championship, but I'd much rather find out either way with him in a white shirt.

Not this jury. Neck on line, I reckon injuries not withstanding he'll spend most of his career in the Prem.Tombwfc wrote:I think Clough's worth to us is greater than what his actual market value would be, if that makes sense. 100% agree with your first paragraph. Hope circumstances don't dictate he ends up having to be flogged to keep us limping on another 3 days.

The takeover of this club cannot come quick enough.
It would be criminal to see Zach go for such a low price.

fwiw he's not big, strong or quick and given that seems the baseline for most PL forward players, I'd say your neck is in danger. His awareness and movement is good, but suspect he would have to become a prodigious goalscorer to get that kind of career. Fair do's if he does - just hope we get the max financial benefit from it.
