It's being painted as Cardiff's decision rather than ours, but that might be incorrect painting

Could it be that Cardiff wanted guarantees that he would be a starter and we couldn't give them that and they changed their minds about the whole thing having slept on it?

I reckon its more likely that the initial loan was done by the Cardiff heirarchy behind Mackay's back, hence Mackay's decision to bring him back so soon. If it was done through Mackay in the first instance then you would think he wouldn't be calling him back less than 24hrs after it was agreed.

It's a shambles on Cardiff's part though. I'm in Cardiff till Thursday. I shall ask someone ?

Odemwinge and Gestede have picked up knocks.

I don't think we're missing out considering his goal record.. 15 in his last 80 or so games

Offish site say he stayed in Cardiff "at the Cardiff manager's request."

15 in 67 isn't too shoddy, but not that much different than 11 in 66 (N'gog) - N'gog has a better record on Chump games only.

Ricketts had 14 in 76 when we signed him...So I guess you just can't tell. :-)

Had he stayed (he may well yet return) I fancy his game time would have been in that left sided advanced role. So his goal scoring record shouldn't have been an issue.

Well we are now desperate for a fullback or two, given the position with mears. Can see that being behind this one myself. Wonder if he got a squad number?

Well, I asked a few people.

Gwynneth in the Tesco local had no idea, while Eluned in The Packett Inn thought it was to do with a row between McKay and the owner. "They'll be making us wear Coch next !" she remarked.

Then I bumped into wee Malky and he said ; “Rudy Gestede and Peter Odemwingie both took wee knocks and our thought was that we had to be sure both are okay. Neither is serious, but I felt it was right to bring Joe back. Hopefully, though, the loan move could be completed in a week or so. It’s simply a case of being certain exactly how Rudy and Peter are.”

This was before he could complete a loan transfer to Championship club Bolton Wanderers. Mason was already in Bolton and had agreed the deal when he was called back to South Wales. Plymouth-born Mason, 22 has yet to make a Premier League appearance this season, but he played in 67 Championship fixtures, almost half of them as a substitute, for Mackay’s team and scored 15 goals.

Bolton manager Dougie Freedman, who already has Cardiff defender Kevin McNaughton on loan, is still keen to sign Mason on loan until January 5 and that may yet happen in a week or so. The current emergency loan window runs until November 28 and Mackay says: “I talked to Dougie (Freedman) and apologised to him. He understands that we have a couple of minor injuries and just want those checked out.

We are hopeful something will be done about the loan next week. Gestede has a knee injury, while Odemwingie has a tightness in a leg and will be assessed again next week. We’ll see how Peter is over the international break and then make out decision,” said Mackay, who also made it clear he believes Mason has a big future with Cardiff. Joe was only going out with a view to playing matches”.

Sounds to me that Eluned has the gift, I'd keep in with her.

If he was in line to play, which I don't think he will be, I think it'd be more likely that White will play Right Back. Too young and inexperienced to play out of position

The clue's in my name Rivi.

At present he's the current Joey O'Brien. When will he ever be fit ? Will he ever be fit ? Is he any good once he is fit ? Will he have progressed whilst unfit ?
