Tango, are you having an off day?TANGODANCER wrote:Did I say "clear-cut chances"? BWFCi? Dear dear, my memory's worse than I thought, thought I wrote "attempts to score". Note to self-take more care.BWFC_Insane wrote: What clear cut chances did they create? Nothing as good as the Milner chance.
Lots of shots from 30 yards. Not much else.

Charlotte Bronte scored for the Swedes, then Sevchenko equalised with a great header.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Anything happening in the Sweden v Ukraine game? The wife has taken control of the tv.
Edit. The Shenko man just scored again.

Ooof, the second game has just come alive. What a swansong for Schevchenko.
As an aside, it's good to see some sides starting to play to the referee's whistle rather than just punting the ball out of play when one of the opposition hits the deck.

Have Ukraine always played in yellow? Thought Sweden had scored.

The BBC:
"Oh no! Massive chance for Sweden who should be level! Zlatan Ibrahimovic is inevitably involved, sending Johan Elmander in with a deft flick but the former Bolton man has no composure at all and slashes his shot wildly over the top. You've blown it Johan. Blown it."
Ouch.

Re: Euro 2012
If there was one ex-Wanderer Swede on that pitch I'd be aiming my ire at it's Wilhelmsson. Elmander wasn't on a par with the likes of Djorkaeff or Anelka (as we've just seen) but then as far as I'm aware he had no say in the size of his transfer fee.jaffka wrote:The Sweden away kit is sh*te and they have just brought on that over priced sh&te as well

Think the refs must have been told to combat the divers by letting clogging have a turn.

Re: Euro 2012
Oh aye, we stumped up far too much for him, as we did for at least a couple of other players during Megson's benighted tenure.jaffka wrote:and also are you agreeing that he was an overpriced pile of w@nk that Megson signed?Little Green Man wrote:If there was one ex-Wanderer Swede on that pitch I'd be aiming my ire at it's Wilhelmsson.
