Yeah, but I've not had much success predicting numbers recently, so I'm staying out of it.Worthy4England wrote:End of 2014 Accounts had us at £27mPrufrock wrote:Or that those numbers are absolute bollocks!
We're a year on from there and it wouldn't surprise me if we were now nearer £20m.
Those numbers would be nearly half our total, from 5 players out of around 60...

How do you know if you're not privy to the accounts?jonnycooper wrote:I am not privy to Boltons accounts, but it would not surprise me in the slightest if those figures quoted are absolute spot on,given the way we've tended to throw cash away over the past 10 years or so!

I'm guessing that's more likely.. Anything named 'celebrity' something, should immediately be regarded as a crock of horseshitPrufrock wrote:Or that those numbers are absolute bollocks!

There's no way on god's green earth that we've signed players this last year on circa £2m PA equivalent. Especially someone else's 21 yr old that needs experience. That would be f*cking mental of us. He might (very might) be getting that in Portugal. Might.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

This, especially the last bit - his Portuguese side (Sporting, is it? Can't be arsed looking) paid about €5m for him so they might have gone in with decent wages too. Not that Portugal's awash with cash, like. I'm not privy either but some of those figures seem high to me.Lord Kangana wrote:There's no way on god's green earth that we've signed players this last year on circa £2m PA equivalent. Agreed! Which is probably why Baptiste +spearing spent last season on loan..to offset some or all their wages. But I,m saying it would not shock me to learn that these figures were correct,
I,m not quoting them as fact, only something I stumbled upon whilst surfing the waves of the big wide world.

Those numbers don't add up for me.jonnycooper wrote:I am not privy to Boltons accounts, but it would not surprise me in the slightest if those figures quoted are absolute spot on,given the way we've tended to throw cash away over the past 10 years or so!
You'd have to add folks into the mix like Andrews too - and if you were comparing to 2014 Accounts, there'd be a little more leeway. but that would mean that we'd have circa 57 players on around £5k per week (average). Can't see Pratley, CYL, Beckford, Andrews, Mavies, Wheater etc. being on anything like that low.

Burnley relegated. ALF's wages could be a stumbling block for Burnley as they have quite a strict wage limit. However Ings will be leaving and possibly to Everton so they will be looking for a goal scorer much more reliable than marvellous Marvin.

Anyone have Beckford back if he came on reduced terms?
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

He did do very well today but its a level below and he was still getting caught in possession and looks too casual when in possession.
Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!
Definite No from me. Pleased for him today though, I thought his career would just fizzle out but that's something to hang onto and he's still got Wembley to come.

Not a cat's.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Cracking goal and I'm pleased he's been banging them in. But it just never really worked out at Bolton and I would look elsewhere.

He gave a humble interview as well, seemed genuinely very grateful to Grayson. Good luck to him and them, I'd like to see them in our league next season, good away day.
