Abs wrote:I hate to break it to you, but we have a better defence than Liverpool. If Cahill came to us he would have to compete with Koscielny which i doubt he's even better. I want him to come so arsenal fans realise the grass isnt greener on the other side, and these over hyped midtable english players are really overratedjimbo_bwfc wrote:Are Arsenal challenging for trophies now?Abs wrote:So is Liverpool challenging for trophies now....they have been out of the top 4 two years and have bought bunch of mediocre playersLord Kangana wrote:Highest bidder wins.
Doubt we give a shit who we sell to as long as they stump up the readies.
Though to be fair he'd probably prefer a club challenging for honours. So to the back of the queue you go.I guess if you spend alot of money on a player he becomes great one like 20 million on henderson
They've not won one in six years and their best two players are desperate to leave. Only thing Arsenal can seemingly offer Cahill is Champions League football and a guarenteed first-team spot because most of the players they have in that position are crap.

Think this roughly translates to: Barcelona are interested in Bolton's Gary CahilFutbol_Mercado Futbol_Mercado
El Barcelona está interesado en el defensor inglés del Bolton, Gary Cahill.

And not a first choice defence used in any. So pretty useless point really.Abs wrote:And they have conceded 15 in pre season so farCAPSLOCK wrote:He's reetAbs wrote: I hate to break it to you, but we have a better defence than Liverpool
He's a fcuking cock but he's reet
Aresnal conceded one less goal than Liverpool last season
How more conclusive can the evidence be
It's overfuckingwhelming

Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs enquired at the start of the window. 20m was what they were told, so all three dropped their interest but asked to be kept informed of developments.
Arsenal however have moved onto Jagielka and a French CB named Sahko or something. Spurs look to have moved onto Christopher Samba, so that leaves Liverpool, who look more and more likely to put in an official bid soon. It's unlikely to meet our valuation though, so either we'll buckle and take the money or stand firm. The latter seems alot more likely, thankfully.
I wouldn't rule out Arsenal coming back in though. Jagielka is 50/50 for them and Sahko is more 20/80.

I think we'd settle on sumat like a 10 mil + n'gog deal, maybe a cheeky loan deal for a defender. The Man wrote:Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs enquired at the start of the window. 20m was what they were told, so all three dropped their interest but asked to be kept informed of developments.

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Gary's been called up to the england squad for the next game doubt he'll get a game as there seems to be about 70 players in this squad

You only have to read his interview in The Independent today to know that. Again talking about how he left because we would invest in players to get us into the Champs League

No idea if this lad is a centre back or not but looks promising from a 'take gary instead' point of view.Liverpool have made an enquiry over Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic as they bid to plug their leaky defence.
But the Serb has turned his nose up at the prospect of a move to Merseyside.

So, if I read this right, from you insider knowledge we can glean:
1) Gary Cahill is a centre half that interests a few clubs
2) These clubs may or may not be interested depending on certain things.
You're definitely in the right thread, I'll give you that.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

we need to sell now for a bigger sum of money or get him to extend his contract or he will end up leaving at a reduced price or on a free
