I receive lots of information on HR vacancies. Jobs, contracts, consulting.

This came in my small YESTERDAY of all days. Timing being everything ;

THE LABOUR PARTY

Head of Human Resources

Salary: £41,774.11 with an annual fixed sum allowance of £1003

To apply for this role, please complete an application form and send it to [email protected] by no later than 3rd July 2016. Application materials are available to download by visiting our careers website at by clicking on the 'Apply' button.

A lot is wrong with this but nothing more so than a salary of  £41,774.11

The level itself is an insult for "Head of" in a sizable central London based role but more so the detail.

"So Mr clown, from what we've discussed are thete any things you've noticed which you would wish to change as a priority ?"

"Well, one priority would be to investigate a fckg mentality which thinks job structures & salaries needs to be penny-arsed to the point of 11 bloody pence ... & deal with the people who don't see that as farcical by the purchase of industrial quantities of 'sorry your leaving' cards and "the use of revolving fckg door".

(shuffling of feet and moving of chairs from people staring at their shoes)

"Errr  .... thank you. That will be all. We'll get in touch!.

I'm having a bit of a chuckle at the predicament Andy Burnham is finding himself in today. 2 weeks after he tells us all that the north is where it's at, there's a likely leadership contest he didn't foresee and can't now take part in. Im betting the air was bkue in his kitchen this morning. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Giggling away here too. He is such a dick. The only thing that matters to Andy Burnham is Andy Burnham.

I quite like Gisela Stuart, I could head back to Labour with her running the show.

Actually I hope the Tories go for Nicky Morgan, they'd be doomed.

And now Angela Eagle is in the frame for potential leader. After a performance on the EU debate so inept it made Jezza look like a natural orator, this beggars belief. Sadly, the chances of a misogynistic party, or its rabidly anti women union leaders voting for a female party head make this just a distant fantasy.

In the case of Angela Eagles, I'm delighted this is just a distant fantasy.

I'm disappointed Corbyn looks set to go but having little support amongst his fellow MP's was always likely to do for him

Nicky Morgan for the Tories is a great shout

Nikki Morgan might just be the right person.

Interviewer: So Nikki, what makes you think you could successfully be PM"

NM: "I just successfully backtracked on our main election promise on Academies"

Interviewer:"We're going to need plenty of backtracking on Brexit promises. You're hired"

Can't believe there's anyone still backing Corbyn. He just has no nous and his leadership is non-existent. He misses more own goals than an infinite number of Dean Holdsworths in an infinite number of FA Cup Semi-Finals. Labour can't do worse as long as they get someone who actually at least tries to win.

Tomorrow's Shadow Cabinet meeting had been cancelled...Dunno why, it should just involve Jeremy talking to himself (again)

Don't think Corbyn has any interest in being PM. Think he's just intent on exacting bitter revenge on the Blairites and new Labourites.

All he can achieve is ripping the party apart.

Corbyn's biggest problem is he cannot communicate anything to anybody, his attacks on the Tories are 'like being savaged by a dead sheep'.

He's run out of options. He'd rather destroy the party than admit he's a bit useless....

That's sort of an interesting one - all Labour MP's including Corbyn were elected on the back of the Labour Manifesto 2015 (as all Tory MP's were elected on theirs) theoretically. He's so far away from that manifesto in so many areas, I think it's entirely legitimate to challenge him to keep to it.

I can see you think he's a principled gentleman, so given your prediction of my defection to the Tories on the matter of bananas, can we expect your defection the other way on the matter of fruit loops?

Edit: In fact if you join, now, you could be Shadow Foreign Secretary by lunchtime.

I'd be more than happy to vote for Corbyn if I agreed with him :)

Don't get me going on Fruit Loops - it's the EU's fault that they look like a bowl of army camouflage and taste of feck all. In America they are a veritable cornucopia of tropical array - a cataclysmic Kaleidoscope, no less. Stacked to the gunnels with E-numbers, artificial colourings and what's more.... flavour!
