Shame because were its the best console there is and has been, but for its reliability issues!
BUT
For me the 360 is the best there has been. Mainly because it feeds my hunger for first person shooters, and they all look so good in HD!
Doh! Anyone want to buy a Wii?BWFC_Insane wrote:Yeah maybe.CrazyHorse wrote:errm the Mega Drive my friend, the Mega Drive.....BWFC_Insane wrote:Every Xbox 360 will break at some point. Major design flaw.hisroyalgingerness wrote:mine was such a genius it lasted 363 days so just inside the warranty

Right ive put it off long enough, I have my new hd tv, now I need an 360.
Its head spinning looking round at all the best deals from all the different retailers.
Has anyone bought one recently? Anyone spotted any good deals.
Im after a premium or pro, not bothered about it being an elite, I want gears of war & PES8, and an extra controller.
Anyone got any advice?

then i would
get the elite - its the only version of the console where you know it'll have the HDMI socket , with the white one its pot luck (theres 'sposed to be 2 versions of the white one with the hdmi socket and one with a hdmi socket and a quieter motherboard

the hard drives bigger on the elite too ..
the component sockets on xboxs/tellys look smart though, just hdmi is the new thing ..
theres (was?) a few deals normal premium console w/ extra pad and three games (of varying goodness for £280 (on play.com i saw this) the same deal with the elite console was £30 or £40 more but that sold out..
and buying one off amazon offers similar (buy this console and for an extra £25/£20/£30 get this/that/andt'other)
i would assume proper walk-in-able shops to offer similar
everyone i know plays call of duty 4
..

I really shouldn't click on to these threads, and I'm certainly not going to mention that I do so as only to make the red bits go away.Luna wrote:I've now got a 360, but I don't think anyone plays Halo anymore, so I'll have to wait for COD4.

If anyone's interested I got it back after a couple of weeks fixed, apparently the motherboard AND the drive were broken.Athers wrote:3 red lights, R.I.P.
Lasted about a year, sigh. Sent off for another.
Got bored of the new pro evo unfortunately. Not bought Bioshock or COD4 and I think I'm missing out.

Oh, and long time, no speak. Hope you're well, fella.
I was just saying that most people have abandoned Halo 3 in order to play Call of Duty 4 instead.

Ive been hammering it over the festive period, i was lucky enough to recieve a new home cinema kit for my new tele off santa, so i have been gaming with surround sound, absolute quality! aliens running round my front room! I completed Gears of War and COD4, both on casual like, cant be arsed doing em again in hardcore or owt, and have been dabbling with fifa and table tennis in between. Looking for summat new to play now, already got Bioshock & Clancy's Rainbow six Vegas, but fancy a change from shooters? Assasins Creed looks good, reviews dont though, anyone had a bash at this?
Played Guitar Hero 3 for a bit the other night, it was really good in a gathering environment. Not sure I want to pay £65 to play on my own though.

Alternatively, you could always buy a second-hand guitar and a copy of Bert Wheedon's Play-in-a-day for less cash.Athers wrote:Played Guitar Hero 3 for a bit the other night, it was really good in a gathering environment. Not sure I want to pay £65 to play on my own though.
