Been on an epic 35 mile ride in the hills around Ladybower in the peaks today. Scenery, weather, trails all spectacular. Belting pub lunch, few beers after, tremendous!
Am proper Goosed now.

A friend bought me a ticket!
Re: Where are you going tonight?
Tonight I shall be mostly staying at the Grange Blooms hotel in Bloomsbury (next door to the British Museum) - as someone bought us a thankyou gift of one of them there London hotel/theatre/show packages... it feels a bit decadent to be staying in an hotel which is only about 30mins away from my front door...
no idea what play/show we are gonna see as the missus has dealt with all of that!

as it turns out (and maybe this is why she kept quiet about it!) - it was Blood Brothers at the Phoenix.thebish wrote:Tonight I shall be mostly staying at the Grange Blooms hotel in Bloomsbury (next door to the British Museum) - as someone bought us a thankyou gift of one of them there London hotel/theatre/show packages... it feels a bit decadent to be staying in an hotel which is only about 30mins away from my front door...

now - I don't generally like musicals, BUT - I thoroughly enjoyed this one - and was quite worried that I did - until I spotted in the programme that is is described as "the musical that people who don't like musicals like."
anyway - a great night's entertainment - and probably all the better as I knew I was not paying for it!
Stephen Palfreman gives a remarkable performance as he grows through the play from a 7yr old boy to a prescription-drug addicted, depressed, ruined and desperate ex-convict...

You might look a bit leathered yourself when you're as old as they are.P.O.S. wrote:Yep, chavs.
