I don't care too much about the result tonight. It's going to be a hugely emotional night for me for one reason. My Grandpa passed away in March 2008 at the age of 80. He was a huge Wanderers fan, was a very famous illustrator, used to do work for the Wanderers in the 50s and 60s, and knew Nat well. He once drew a portrait of Nat and it appeared in the Bolton News last week as it was hung in Nat's office at Burnden Park. Anyway, tonight the Wanderers will hang a banner of the portrait with "LEGEND" under it on the North Stand. He would be blown away to be involved in his friend's special night! COYWM, please do it for them both tonight!!

I can see you're getting corsair and corsair.... From the FA.

Change in the rules this year....
Previously, players collecting five yellow cards prior to the final day in February were subject to a one-match suspension. This will now only apply if a player reaches five yellow cards before 31 December. Sanctions for players accumulating 10 and 15 cautions remain in place as do their respective amnesty periods.

So the slate isn't wiped clean at the end of the year, the threshold is moved higher ie. if you had 2 yellows on 31 Dec you will need another 8 before you are banned for a game?

Nah, before you had to wait until the end of Feb before they were cleared so if you had 4 yellows at the start of December you would get a ban if you were booked anytime upto the end of Feb. Now its only upto the end of December...

You still get a 2 match ban if you get 10 yellows all season or 3 for 15 (i think)

Apparently we're not wearing anything commemorative on our kit, but there'll be something on Davo's armband. Not sure what that means, I hope it's John Terry's blood.

Now that's my kind of language...

Going to bed. If the baby wakes me up at 5am, I'll take it as a sign that I should watch the match live. Otherwise... staying away from this forum until I watch the recording.

Off to the match.

I suspect we shall be on our annual 0-2 scoreline - but we're due a good 'un so you never know. :D

With John Terry shoulder-charging Jussi into the net for the second.

Probably.

Prediction: any goals Chelsea score to be decried as either Knight's fault or Wheater's, depending who's playing...

Come on lads, do it for Nat.

I hope Davo is told to play like Nat in '58. No holds barred, no prisoners. And I hope the ref has enough scruples to let it pass this once.

Steinsson and Petrov In ? Curious given Ricketts form and Petrov's usual form when starting.Perhaps we plan to lull them into a false sense of security
