He stopped it prematurely. Absolute outrage

Bollocks decision.. Froch would have gone on to win that from there IMO but the ref should have let it go on.

Bit out of order the fans booing Froch after the fight. He didn't make the ref stop it.

Groves was gone. It was either stop it or let Froch land a few more bombs and finish him completely.

Still, a brilliant fight. No doubt a rematch will happen.

Froch nearly killed Groves but some people were upset because they actually wanted to see Groves get knocked out.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

He wasn't getting killed though......

My opinion, stopped to early..ref should've given him a standing 8 count...

Agreed.

Ref cant win though really. If Froch had been allowed to get the next few shots in and caused serious damage like the Benn/McClellan fight for example (blood clot). We would be saying it should have been stopped earlier.

Just watched it for the first time. Seems clear to me - Groves was miles ahead on points but needed to have taken it in the 6th when he was all over Froch. Fair play to Froch for withstanding some torrid stuff and still having enough on board to get the knock out he needed. Did the ref step in too early? I'm not too sure. Groves looked unable to defend himself and, being one of these types that loves to see a good fight in which neither fighter gets injured, I think it was only heading one way at the point at which the ref stopped it.

Did anyone see Tony Bellew's weigh-in scuffle? Embarrassing. What an idiot. Love the way he backed off after pushing the other guy with his head. Let a load of other guys get in the way then did the whole 'let me at him' routine. His interview afterwards was cringeworthy as well.

No chance. Never backed down to anyone and already offered Groves the rematch which he declined. Contractual reasons for the decline apparantly.

He said he wasn't sure he'd offer him one due to Groves "lack of respect".

Froch will retire...he won't fight Groves......
