West Ham have finally scored, after only 3 minutes against Chesterfield.

It came from a long punt from the goalkeeper, but strangely West Ham haven't scored an own goal to sportingly cancel it out. Must count then.

An optimist had this to say:

A lucky goal after four minutes and then played off the park. 15 corners to 3. Worst run for 70 years. Says it all really.
Even Roeder didn't manage that...
Our only saving grace this year is that we can't get any worse and I still think Sheffield, Watford, Man City and Charlton are worse than us.

Still some rose-coloued specs in the East End.
