It's like years of grim have evaporated - and this team hasn't got a Youri or a JJ... But, like Todd's record breakers, without stars, it feels like a star team...

Today there were several convincing claimants for MotM - I like that, very much...

Go, Owen, play on, maestro, there's a long way before the fat lady needs to sing...
This....with brass knobs on.

Bring on the lashers and the MASSIVE'S.

Indeed - although I need to review how many pints I'm allowed per Bolton goal at the moment.

spot on! did you see the goal he scored the other week when he partnered Klasnic? he hasn't lost it!
see that bugs me, the manager should be in best bib'n tucker for matches imo!
He can wear a Tutu for all I care, as long as we keep playing like this.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Yeah I'm still watching the highlights too! :-)

Was it just my imagination, or did our supporters sound very loud yesterday :-)

They did, and I'm ending my Reebok avoidance for the next game. Away games are good, but hearing the wanderers fans yesterday almost made me realise it's childish to hate your home ground....... :D

Agreed from the top down. If I'm thinking back to any era, it's Rioch - there's something of his first season, what with the regular four- or five-goal hauls, the general feeling of optimism, the excitement about games and the delight when they arrive.

True, I didn't arrive back till 2am last night (gig + traffic), but I stayed up till five watching the hour-long highlights, MOTD and the highlights again. And then I watched them again today, straight and sober, and smiling.

Early days, with potential pitfalls ahead, but at the moment 'tis good to be a Wanderer, and to see it done with style. To return to CAPS' original point, there used to be a feeling that we had to choose between form and function, between style and success. Now it doesn't feel greedy to ask for both.

Its great to get the tag of "long ball merchants" off of us.

We are playing great football and I think I will just have to pop over for my birthday in February :D

Here's a sign of the times. Just got an email from major bookmarker with odds updates, and if you follow their line of thinking, we're more likely to end up in the Champions League than the Championship. True, the shortest odds are for upper mid-table, but plenty among us would have settled for that pre-season.

Bolton Wanderers Finishing Position: 25/1 Top four; 7/4 Fifth to Eighth; 5/4 Ninth to Twelfth; 9/4 Thirteenth to Seventeenth; 28/1 Bottom Three
