It's just a terrible, phoned-in article as you'd expect. I'll even ignore the Cohen part of it for this post -

Despite this trend apparently growing, his examples are from the 90s. He doesn't even mention the most famous shirt-revealing of all which happened last Summer.

ON TOP OF ALL THIS, the only minutes silence I can remember non-footy related was for Japan, which he daren't mention by name for being called insensitive no doubt!

Being slightly cynical, he didn't write that article after a Tevez or a Defoe or a Rooney did it, he waited until someone from a smaller club did it then mentions the others as an aside. He also mentions Mark Wright but does not say anything against him, just mentions it in passing.

Like others have said, he's angling himself for his media future. Not worth bothering with.

I don't think you're being cynical at all Armchair. It's a fact that he wouldn't have said a thing if it was about a player from a "big" club. Cohen was just an easy target. There's no way he would have had the guts to criticise the likes of Rooney, Terry or Gerrard for doing the same thing.
