Sordell ... what's the point ?

Ok, I'm not a Davies fan but three goals and a decent number of assists so far to me does cement him as the current number one striker at the club, and if I were Sordell I would accept that. What I wouldn't accept is that fecking Ngog can get in front and take the 2nd choice striker position, seriously what has this joker actually done at our football club? Kevin Davies has scored 75% of Ngog's TOTAL BOLTON TALLY THIS SEASON ALONE and he isn't even known for his goals!

I was chatting to a Watford fan in the pub after the game last night and he couldn't believe that we have Sordell on the bench and Ngog in the side, never mind us lot and we've had the misfortune of watching him scramble four goals in over however many games.

Sordell is a million miles from being anywhere near Ngog

And you'd base this on what? 5 mins of seeing Sordell actually playing

Just for the record I think Ngog has something about him but reckon he needs a manager like BSA to get it out, never in a month of Sundays under the great Pretender!

Yeah 5 mins... Thats all he's played.

Ngog did more in 45 minutes than Sordell has done in all of his appearances since joining us.

What do YOU think Sordell offers us? He's not as quick, he's got trampolines on his feet and he doesn't seem much of a worker either.

He's alright. Nowt special. Works hard, looks committed. I'll give him a month before he starts looking as disinterested as the rest.

And if you're using him to make a point, he's played two games. And is a loan. I notice how our 3M striker who Coyle said would be 'a top top player for us this season' and (despite being signed last season when we needed an impact and wasn't used) is now seemingly 4th choice striker.

You seem to have forgotten the 20-odd games N'Gog played for us last year where he was complete gash. Sordell has scored this season, for one thing. I know N'Gog has only played one game but he hasn't scored. How has he "done more" exactly?

Come on, NGog led the line well and moved about and created space and holds it up well. He made some sort of impact.

Sordell has looked lost so far, despite scoring once. He doesn't look the "part" yet. Which is worrying when you've blown 3M on him.

Not that I blame the lad, I think we have plenty of players who a better manager and coaching setup would make look entirely different.

I don't doubt N'Gog's effort and he's a decent target man. But you can only afford to have one non-scoring striker in your team and that man is Captain Kev. N'Gog couldn't give an opposition keeper a threatening look, let alone score past him.
