Just wait - there are three more sessions. The corollary is that the US tends to do well in the singles. So a hex on both their houses.

Not sure that holds up as much in recent years though?

No, we have done better in singles (ever since that tremendous US comeback one year) and still done well in pairs. Tiger must hate the Ryder Cup.

Well we have a point, and won it at the last.

Which much hurt the Americans after it looked like a remarkable comeback.

Agreed - hope Tiger keeps choking and Lee picks it up. Our foursomes of all British Isles types have done well - not so good for the continental types.

He owed Rose that one, after where he'd left him on the second shot. But yes, good to see it drop.

Time for it to turn round yet, just like the mornings play did.

Slightly puzzled as to why Poulter isn't picked this afternoon. He was on fire in the foursomes.

Apparently not....

They have been on fire though, I'm just hoping they can't keep it up.

We are going to be down after the end of today by all probability, just need to minimise the damage and hope for a better day tomorrow.

BBC: Colsaerts is steaming out there, he's bent in a monster on the fourth to get that match back to all square.
