Maybe he's grumpy because he has to put up with you unnecessarily picking holes in every other post he makes, no?thebish wrote:don't be such a grumpy old sausage!

nahh - just a regular and normal disagreement/discussion about who might be player of the year...
tango thinks it has to be feeney - I think Holden... I think POTY should have been here all year/season... that's what the thread is for - to discuss/debate/disagree about who (if anyone) it should be - that's all - nothing to see!

I went for Lawrie Wilson.
Performed the best out on loan and I liked his 'Fck off Lennon' celebration.

Re: POTY
I wonder if the players are half-hoping they don't win it... so as not to draw attention to themselves???

Veloso for me.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: POTY
I guess the problem would be that it'd just be a contest for who'd come second after Madine.twilight wrote:Would have got more votes if it was worst player of the year. I would have loved to see who got that one!!

Re: POTY
So Feeney has played in as many games as anyone else to date, despite being shipped out. For me, he is very definitely in the running and gets my vote.

Re: POTY
More, for now: although that list doesn't show it, he started four cup games to Amos's three. In the remaining three league games Amos will presumably overtake him (all comps) but the only other man who can match him is Moxey, who also started all four cup games but was dropped midweek.Burnden Paddock wrote:So Feeney has played in as many games as anyone else to date, despite being shipped out. Think it says a lot that there's only one game for which he was available this season that Feeney didn't start: at home to Forest. He came on at half-time.
