You never saw Dennis Peacock, I take it ?Harry Genshaw wrote:Simon Farnworth was the worst keeper I ever saw on crosses. Truly awful. Was good on penalties though
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I did. I was only a young lad but even then I knew Terry Poole was the better bet. I don't remember him as being particularly bad on crosses though. He was worse than Farnworth then?bobo the clown wrote:You never saw Dennis Peacock, I take it ?Harry Genshaw wrote:Simon Farnworth was the worst keeper I ever saw on crosses. Truly awful. Only just seen this and I know you don't like having your questions ignored!Lost Leopard Spot wrote: More importantly to the post match analysis, how was the chippy?
It was OK, but the pub was so good we sat chatting to Wednesday fans and cut into our chippy time. When we got there we couldn't fins the recommended one so went for the nearest. They only had mini fish left and I got given 2 plus chips for £2. BP then had to settle for chips and peas for the same price. How I chortled. I did give him a piece though, bceause he had that folorn look on his face he gets under a slight drizzle at parkrun.
The end.

LE dropped one of the mini fish on the floor, picked it up and ate it. At least I think he ate it. Knowing him, it was probably the one he gave to me!
Fin!
Brad Pitt to play me in the movie, Julia Roberts to play LE!

^ Excellent chippy analysis. You could be the Ant & Dec of BBC post match commentary.

A mini fish? A mini fish? What's the fecking point of that? It didn't start out as a mini fish. Had they asked me if I'd like a mini fish the answer would have been a resounding "No. I'd like a lightly battered Marlin. Now get to it, you c*nt". Mini fish. Good grief!Burnden Paddock wrote:You missed a bit.LeverEnd wrote:Only just seen this and I know you don't like having your questions ignored!Lost Leopard Spot wrote: More importantly to the post match analysis, how was the chippy?

It's Sheffield! the Don hardly overfloweth with marlin. And anyway, what else could you call them? calling them by their proper name, "a couple of sticklebacks in batter, please" hardly sounds appetising.Bruce Rioja wrote:A mini fish? A mini fish? All the big fish had gone, just cheapo mini, or half-fish left. Like a metaphor for the BWFC squad.

Sounds like you got the fillets that they fcuked up. Otherwise known as off-cuts or scrag ends. Even here they give you a full fillet, be swimming on grease mind, but still, a full one.

Well they tasted nice, even if one of them did swim in a puddle for a moment.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Sounds like you got the fillets that they fcuked up. Otherwise known as off-cuts or scrag ends. Even here they give you a full fillet, be swimming on grease mind, but still, a full one.

Didn't he drop his fish and chips on the floor at Crewe? I know he forgot the tickets. Someone dropped their fish and chips but I can't remember who.Burnden Paddock wrote: LE dropped one of the mini fish on the floor, picked it up and ate it.
