That seems a bit generous to the Rangers players. If I was a professional footballer and I thought there was a decent chance I'd be playing in the Scotland's 4th tier, I'd probably take my chances on the open market too.Chrisfu wrote:When you look at the likes of Gregg Wylde and the rest of the other high-earners at Rangers who walked away from their lucrative contracts to help the club out of a messy situation, it makes Ben Haim look like a complete tit.

Nah, he's old and tough with one decent season left in him.

Three plus Ricketts is fine.irie Cee Bee wrote:With Wheater out for at least the first couple months of the season, we are a bit thin with only 3 CHs. One of them get hurt then we are down to 2. Thats a dangerous game to play.
The decision then is do we go loan (Boyata?) or sign (Ben Haim?). Take your pick. I say loan until Wheater recovers fully. Ben haim is not the same player we had. He went backwards when deciding to go to Chelsea. Is he good enough to make our team ? Maybe yes, but it would not be money well spent. spend it on a forward.
Also, you can loan players in the Championship for all but about two months of the season.

The Oracle has said that Ben Haim to the Bok is a no-go although does say that he would be shocked if we hadn't signed two by the end of next week

No doubt we'll actually take on a new steward and a tea boy in the ticket office. And a "see, told you" twaat.

I have a sneaking suspicion that James Vaughan might be the striker, thoughts?

It would be consistent with our £4m strikers who don't score policy.TKIZ! wrote:I have a sneaking suspicion that James Vaughan might be the striker, thoughts?

I'm completely baffled by our inability to put the ball in the net. We can't rely on Petrov's penalties and we seem to create chances, hit bars, have near misses but can't score goals. We have N'gog and Sordel in addition to KD yet we don't do the business. Even with Klasnic we still got relegated. Anybody thought of shooting practise at the Bok? Petrov's one of the best crossers of a ball in the business and we have Chungy, Eagles and Wilde plus Alonso who can all cross balls. Get near the goals and we miss. Get some shooting practise in Owen. All I'm seeing is young strikers in fancy boots who don't score.

Surely a lot of it comes down to confidence? They should find a lot more of now we're the big fish in the small pond.. hopefully they can find it during pre season. I hope Eagles will find a way into the side next season because he seemed confident infront of goal throughout.TANGODANCER wrote:I'm completely baffled by our inability to put the ball in the net. You are blaming 'young fancy strikers' for their inability to score? Yet Kevin Davies has been up front every game pre-season with no fancy strikers in sight. Perhaps you should blame him for his complete lack of movement and total lack of goal scoring ability? Doubt you ever will though!TANGODANCER wrote:I'm completely baffled by our inability to put the ball in the net. Afobe has a promising future. Not sure it's right here and now. Also puzzled by ongoing interest in Ryo - how many wingers do we need?wanderers_on_tour wrote:we're after the one on the left this time...apparently...

Get it right mate. I don't need to blame KD for anything, you do it every time he plays.BWFC_Insane wrote:You are blaming 'young fancy strikers' for their inability to score?
