... & where's the one about pissing in, or indeed into, the water ?
I thought they had it with "pushing" at first but no.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Late fifties, when the railway used to run right across St Helen's Road. Have a look 1min 11 secs in here:

That's got to be somewhere near the junction with Deane Church Lane hasn't it, Tango?TANGODANCER wrote:Late fifties, when the railway used to run right across St Helen's Road. Have a look 1min 11 secs in here:

Re: The Official You Tube/weird world thread.
I think the area was around that pub up there, (was it the Stag's Head? ) a bit higher up than Deane Church lane ,Bruce. Memory ain't what it was but my brother lived in that area at one time and managed a small health centre with a pool. I remember the rail lines which were in full view. Seems like yesterday but it's nigh on fifty years now. I found this much later pic. Can't make out the pub name but I seem to think it was the Stag's Head. Have a look at the link too as that might be familiar to you, then and nowBruce Rioja wrote:That's got to be somewhere near the junction with Deane Church Lane hasn't it, Tango?TANGODANCER wrote:Late fifties, when the railway used to run right across St Helen's Road. Where the pics in the link show, Tango, is exactly where I thought it was. I was going to mention that new triangular building in my OP. Would have loved to have been able to witness the pre-Beeching railways. Hey ho.

Where the old tracks ran is still visible on Google Earth. Cheers for that clip Tango, I'll send that to my rail enthusiast Dad.

the uploaders blurb about the presenter made me cheer though.
