Why did we sell Cahill? With Cahill we were shite. Without Cahill we were shite with more money. Which would you choose?

I would say you were shitter without Cahill plus the 1m or so left over after buying Ream and Sordell, if you got 15-20m for him I would understand.

Well you obviously haven't even been watching our defence all season. We would probably have gone down with Cahill too, our defence was arguably worse while he was here. Stop talking about things you don't know about.

I forgot all these £20m bids lining up for him, the bid came in with a good price for a player with 6 months on his contract. We're an honest club and if one of our players has the chance to go and play in the Champions League and a suitable offer is on the table, we're not going to deny him the opportunity.

I didn't say there were any 20m bids lined up, I said I could understand IF there was. My point was that 7 million or so isn't a suitable offer considering what's at stake for your whole club in the bigger picture. You should have kept him as he had a contract unless they mean nothing at an 'honest club' But hey as long as Cahill gets to play in the champions league after villas boas got the sack then that's ok you don't need the premier league you're an honest club

So we should gamble on losing him on a free and just hope that his performances after this disapointment single handedly pull us out of trouble. We were in a relegation fight with him and he wasn't exactly performing well, we were in a relgation fight without him it was always going to be that way. If you honestly believe that keeping Cahill would have solved all our problems then I seriously under estimated your stupidity.

They are home truths, your manager is terrible, ream and sordell were terrible buys, you didn't finish far off safety, you should have kept cahill as you'd have a better chance of staying up if he is champions league quality, the 7million wasn't a good deal
