Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Rather less salubrious a town, but for high class Indian scran in that general area the Anise, in Wrexham, is worth a go too.Bruce Rioja wrote: Should any of you find yourselves in Shrewsbury and in need of a good Indian nosebag, then I implore you to check out Cafe Saffron. Not quite as good as Spice Valley was when it first opened, but at least as good as it is now, and it's still fecking good.

It was the exact same week one year ago when Godson plays cricket for Derbyshire against the feral youths of other counties at Shrewsbury School.bobo the clown wrote:Blimey, That must have been a while ago.

ah bobo! you warned and i knew it would happen, and it did last night! Comedy, same as before, but performed lazily and got what it deserved.
IN MITIGATION, someone said the most racist thing in the world in the first half, and the audience were a bit weird, but then maybe that's excuses. Either way, i need to get some more practise done. And not drink.

Sorry to hear that, Kinty, but am glad to see you know how/why/where it went wrong, so will be a valuable lesson to you.mrkint wrote:ah bobo! you warned and i knew it would happen, and it did last night! Comedy, same as before, but performed lazily and got what it deserved.

I'm also curious as to what comprises the most racist thing in the world?! Really that bad?

I think the not drinking is key.
Even my mrs uses dummy red wine when she's performing!

Re: Today I'm happy about......
to be fair i am probably being quite hyperbolic(it didn't use any particularly horrific words), but it was the fact that it came from absolutely nowhere kinda amplified it. It was an audience member too! the performer asked him something and the reply completely killed his act. Poor kid.Bruce Rioja wrote:I'm also curious as to what comprises the most racist thing in the world?! Really that bad?

i usually have a couple before, but combination of heat/tiredness amplified it definitely.

YEEEEEEEEEEES. Get in there.
Ice lolly for the dog. She's going bananas for it, she cannot get enough. I just took a bunch of Whiskas pouch sachets of chicken in jelly cat food and had them in the quick freeze bit of the freezer for a few days. They're not solid frozen but by god the dog don't care.
