What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

In the last few weeks I've watched-

Hangover- Good fun, thought it would be shit, had a pretty good laugh.
Hurt Locker- Liked, was good, but not 'amazing'.
All's Well that Ends Well at yon Globe- Meh, Shakespearean comedy, all cock jokes. Was fairly funny, but nothing special. The experience itself was awesome though. Really enjoyed it, and the missus loved it. Going back watching Faustus in June. Only let down given the fantastic price (fiver each) was two drinks cost £11!
Invictus- Why oh why do people keep making sports films. They're all shit! Rest of the film was OK, but the rugby was wank.

The Globe is great - may be my favourite theatre... Not seen the production - and unlikely to, have seen the play a couple of times and not a favourite... Sorry you didn't rate, but sounds like a good experience anyway...

It is, but was in can't be arsed mood, at girlfriends, half watching it, and I've seen SOO many films of that sort that are SOO much worse. I spose my expectations were that low it couldn't lose.

I really enjoyed the globe, and think it would be even better with a better play. Woman loved the entire thing, think I'll be getting dragged back a lot, which is no bad thing. It wasn't a bad production, but I'm yet to see or read a Shakespeare comedy that is really my thing. It's all too 'greek', and they weren't funny either! Really looking forward to Faustus though, I've never seen it but I must have read it five or six times.

I watched Summer Hours (L'heure d'été). Got roundly praised by the critics, but I thought it was absolutely awful, perhaps the most boring film I've ever seen.

It was like watching a Chekhov novel adapted to modern-day France devoid of any suspense, drama or interesting characters. Also, there was an unnecessary amount of name-dropping of antiques which I got bored of after about 10 minutes, but to my horror this continued for the rest of the film.

1 hour 40 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Thank-you. At last, someone that agrees with me. Absolute shite.

Oh, and speaking of absolute shite, I caught sight of something that was on last night with Lee Mack in it - I think it was called 'Not Going Out', summat like that anyway. I was cringing watching it it's that bad.

You're wrong and you're a grotesquely ugly freak

Not Going Out is proper 'leave your worries aside' nonsense. A joke every 15 seconds and it is perfect escapism. It's just daft.

Just been out to see Kenneth Branaghhhhhh's "Thor" followed by classy dinner at Pizza Hut (middle son's birthday)

was fairly predictable formulaic hocus-pocus - but enjoyable nonetheless with the family.

cameo role for Idris Elba (who played Stringer Bell in the Wire)

I recently watched the pilot and have been unable to stop watching it since! Fantastic show.

Getting the early screening of Win Win in the Valley.

And home in time for No Direction Home on BBC4 as we move towards Dylan's 70th next Tuesday.

Pub or lottery win?

Win Win very amiable, we both enjoyed, made us laugh, made us feel, enjoyed a lot of the acting. Glad we saw.

no direction home I saw in full (three hours plus) at the Cornerhouse. Just the first part on BBC4 tonight. Scorsese doing a brilliant homage to Dylan. If you like Dylan you'll love this. I do - and i do. Partner tolerates - and liked the movie more than the music.

Hope they don't close BBC4...
