I did the worst thing you could, and had a nap at like 8:30 - 10, so now I'm still awake.
Stick Terminator 2 on (ITV2, just started) and stay up. It's the way forward.

As the Barenaked Ladies sang 'Who needs sleep?' :D

I don't have a TV in here, and if I did I couldn't put it on as my girlfriend is asleep.

And there is no way I'm going downstairs, it's freezing!

It really does seem to be a tale of some little bleedin' goblins, who like real ale, going bothering a load of people who should be able to have them in a fight... end. Deep? Vast? Magical? I've seen more impressive things in Games Workshop windows when I'm hurlng abuse at them! Lord of the Rings = Painting little men.

Had a weird dream the other night. Dreamt I was in this place called Middle Earth, crafting a story of wizards and goblins and orcs, hobbits and magic, war and wonder. When I woke up I realised I was just Tolkein in my sleep.

How are we doing this evening, folks?

Booooooo Gerofff!!

But it reminds me of the other month. I'd been trying to find just the right colour of paint to decorate the spare room, then that night I dreamed of the perfect colour. I then spent weeks trekking round DIY shops trying to find that shade, turns out it was just a pigment of my imagination.

Hearing about you trekking round the DIY shops for weeks reminds me. I was doing a piece of writing, and I just couldn't think of this word for two weeks. Then all of a sudden it came to me - 'fortnight'

Doesn't sound good - hopefully just a virus which will pass.

No idea what Holby City is - never heard of "carks" but can guess what it means from the context. I know what a schmuck is, living in the Jewish quarter here. Well, good luck whatever it is.

Well, by way of continuing your education. Holby City is a hospital drama, which was a spin-off from the successful and long running 'Casualty' show. Not that I usually watch it, but there's bugger all on at quarter to 2 on a Sunday night, as you can imagine. 'To cark' means to die, as i'm sure you correctly assumed, but it's not an oft used phrase - a bit out-moded, in fact.

Well, don't cark else we'll have no one to laugh at when the Wanderers beat the Reds.
