Haha, none! Yeah, if I'd left a bit more time after my taco bell breakfast (highly recommended pre-workout supplement), I could have gone a bit quicker, was getting pretty hot for the second half of the run though, but yeah pretty pleased with my progress.

Superb. Please tell us that you jumped up and down, hands aloft, at the top of 'em.Beefheart wrote:Did a 10 mile run in Philadelphia this morning finishing at the top of the rocky steps. Great place to run up there, follow a path along the river cross a bridge and then run back. Knocked 11 minutes off my PB for 10 miles (though only my second time doing that distance tbf).
Oh, nothing but sunshine here.Must be in the high 20s now.

Aye. Still work to do.
Indeed.
Tough weekend topped by 85 miles round Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire in pisspouring rain. Enjoyed at least 5 near death experiences.

And in just under 5 hours it's probably a world record.

I have an appointment on Wednesday with a woman who will be using the 'Bowen Technique' on me. She was recommended by a work colleague who suffered with back problems for 25 years, seeing various osteopaths etc. This woman sorted her out in 2 appointments. I'm hoping that she can do the same for me!

Does she show you the speedboat that you narrowly missed out on before giving you your bus fare home?Burnden Paddock wrote:

Re: The athletics/running thread
After this morning's effort, I feel that the word "leisurely" is often under used in top level athletics.
Re: The athletics/running thread
Gateshead parkrun with a horrible hangover and a 2.5 mile run each way to get there. Over 6 mins slower than last week. Glad I did it though. Bubble football was a laugh too. More booze now.
