Cheers, great to see...love the player reactions when Ngog scores, makes you realise they do actually give a sh1t !Riviman wrote:Highlights and goals - I think in Russian !!!

That was a great read!Sponge wrote:http://www.heroesandvillains.info/forum ... =46803.315
Not that I have anything in particular against Villa, but pages 22–27 in this thread are pretty amusing...

Re: Villa Away.
I just wish that SKD could have put more performances in like that earlier in the season, well, for most of the season actually.
He deserved to be dropped when he was and when he was given his chances he didn't do much with them.
In the last few games though he has been brilliant, last night was he was just on another level to everybody else. When he was coming on at the start of the second half I could see something in him that suggested he was up for it, and up for it he was!
We just need to be able to turn that second half performance in to a 90 performance against Sunderland.

Did anyone understand the Klasnic for Ngog substitution? And did Klasnic touch the ball after he'd come on?

Agreed. Though he did benefit from a relatively young and inexperienced Villa side, that he could bully...keveh wrote:I just wish that SKD could have put more performances in like that earlier in the season, well, for most of the season actually.

But I do think most of our survival hopes are resting on Kev's shoulders. He's the one player who can do a "Drogba" for us and literally drag us over the line through sheer effort and desire.
Re: Villa Away.
Apparently Eagles had an 86% pass completion rate.

Re: Villa Away.
That's because he never bloody passes, I'd love to know what his shot/goal ratio is!Sponge wrote:Apparently Eagles had an 86% pass completion rate.
Re: Villa Away.
SKD did a fantastic job when he came on. But i'm not sure he can do it for the full 90 mins. Would he be better coming on as an impact player 2nd half? Nott sure what defensive line-up Sunderland have got at the moment. I know they have had their infury concerns at the back. If its a relatively inexperienced line up then lets start with him.
Remember O'neill was wanting SKD in the January transfer window so ideal opportunity for Kev to show whats what!!!!!

Re: Villa Away.
Nothing more than fresh legs with the coming fixtures in mind, I'd imagine. With KD in such form maybe Coyle wanted another goal and thought Ivan may grab one. Worked against QPR and his winning goal brought the house down at the Reebok.Sponge wrote:Did anyone understand the Klasnic for Ngog substitution? And did Klasnic touch the ball after he'd come on?
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: Villa Away.
Agreed with that. Just remind him that he needs to show O'Neill what he missed out on, especially as they only offered 250k!Barr Hill wrote:SKD did a fantastic job when he came on. There's also no harm in starting him and telling him to give it everything he's got and bringing on N'Gog/Klas/Sordell for him once he's knackered himself out.
Re: Villa Away.
I think that's a good shout to be honest, I'd let Kev wear them down a bit then stick Sordell on to run them ragged.LiOC wrote:Agreed with that. Just remind him that he needs to show O'Neill what he missed out on, especially as they only offered 250k!

Do you really think he will bring Sordell on. Not had a sniff of coming on since his 15 mins at Norwich.
Would love to see him make an impact. Can't be any worse than what we got surely???

Re: Villa Away.
Nothing wrong with that sub in my mind. Fresh legs, and Klas has shown the ability to score late on. I was very chuffed with our last 5 minutes, kept the ball well and were hardly threatened... Very unlike us!Sponge wrote:Did anyone understand the Klasnic for Ngog substitution? And did Klasnic touch the ball after he'd come on?

Great game last night, made even better that you beat those seal scum! I was willing you guys on every minute of that game, and if I was nervous for the last 10-15mins I dread to think what you guys were going through!!!
Fifty odd Albion fans in my local last night and we were all rooting for you guys we celebrated those goals as if they were our own, Good luck for your next game and we will see you at your gaffe in a few weeks

And very unlike us to keep the ball safe like Alonso did with those two corners and a throw-in. Brilliant.
We'll be back!

Re: Villa Away.
Just before N'Gog went off he had stayed in midfield rather than join an attack. He was utterly goosed.CarlosHernandez wrote:Nothing wrong with that sub in my mind. I'm unsure why a Premiership footballer should be that knackered after about 70m football, but he was gone.
Klas did a good amount of harrying & almost chased Given down at one point, and he had a couple of close moves charged down also. He is what he is, but was fine.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Villa Away.
Klas had also found a little pocket of space in the area when Eagles darted down the right. Had Eagles cut it back, it was 3-1. He opted to try and pick SKD out at the far post.bobo the clown wrote:Just before N'Gog went off he had stayed in midfield rather than join an attack. Great game from Eagles though. And SKD. And Wheater.
