This, now this, on the official Blackburn website is priceless.
Could they be any more embarrassing?
If you are at work, please be careful as it may cause you to spontaneously burst out in laughter. I did, but thankfully I have my own office!Jesus H. Christ!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

More 'on topic' ... I know how people can get pissed about this .... I read last week that he won £200k damages and, I'm guessing, a written apology was part of the settlement.

Re: Ambitious Blackburn
So Allardyce does know how to sue after all. The action against the BBC and Panorama never did materialise, did it?

I think that the message should be copied and put on here in case it ever disappears:
http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/sa ... 84505.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;During the summer of 2011, Mr Steve Kean was this Club’s manager and accompanied the players of Blackburn Rovers on a pre-season tour of the Far East.
Whilst in Hong Kong, Mr Kean was in a bar and falsely alleged that Sam Allardyce, our previous manager, was sacked by us because he was a crook.
This is completely false and we apologise to Mr Allardyce for the embarrassment and distress caused to him by Mr Kean.
Re: Ambitious Blackburn
god thank you so much for finding that and thank you to everyone who helped create the possiblility of such an article being produced, KeanoBWFC_Insane wrote:http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/sa ... 84505.aspx

Didn't they want an "experienced coach"?

Re: Ambitious Blackburn
Not sure he'll take it. But I believe he's a bit gutted that he didn't wait it out a little longer before Blackpool. Their chairman is a nutjob and a typical old skool tight arse. He wants things set up there that are so basic you wouldn't believe they don't have them. Oyston wont even entertain their ideas.
The set up was more advanced at Pompey even at the start of the season.

Re: Ambitious Blackburn
Yeah their Prem wage budget was ridiculously tight wasn't it? Surely because of that tight control on costs they're doing OK financially, the way you describe makes it sound like they don't have hot showers!
Funny really as many a successful businessman has been an old skool tight arse then forgot all that the day they walked into football, Oyston sounds like the exception to the point it's harmful?!

Re: Ambitious Blackburn
Can someone explain this obsession with Michael Appleton that chairmen seem to have?

May the bridges I burn light your way
