Do I take it up with the retailer - it's about 6 months old
I would because it would annoy the hell out of me. My wife has one but I can't notice an issue with the sensitivity in parts of the screen. Doesn't sound right to me.

Has it always had the problem since you got it or has it just started?
You'd definitely notice it
When using the keyboard, the right hand 3 or 4 columns require a finger behind the unit as well as one in front
Not sure that its a new fault
Have read suggestions it may be a software issue - could I install an earlier android?
get it taken back ffs. It's not going to repair itself.

They should swap it out for an ipad.
Well I never.

You can always do a 'factory reset', which will lose all your apps and data.

Settings -> Backup & reset -> Factory data reset

I'm not sure that is the solution you want but it may be worth trying as a last resort.
How wuld that sort of a physical glitch Malc ? AND wipe your info to boot.

It's faulty ... take it back.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Caps thought it was a software issue so I thought it may default to an earlier version of Jelly Bean, but probably not. Ignore my comment unless it was OK before and could be due to an app being installed.

But you are correct. I would take it back.

re: android phones ..

Q. cannot send texts to a listed contact... what's error code 69 ?

sprint or some other american website sez -

Error Code 69 Your device requested a session
lifetime that is too long. If this problem persists,
turn your phone off, turn it on again, then try again.
Requested Lifetime too long to be supported by the
network.

cant be too long , i'm only sending "yes" , and me signals good for no time outs. ..

I started looking to update iOS on my missus iPhone earlier today.

It will probably finish sometime over the weekend.

It's fecking easier to reprogramme my Android.

Anyone got any mates that can do this (I'm looking at you Mr Wandering Willy) ;-)

Easier? Click on update. Leave it an hour.

Job done.

Don't see how it could be easier.

Unless you're on an iOS below 5 then you have the inconvenience of having to plug into a PC first before clicking on update.

That'd be the fella.

Then of course I had to install iTunes on my PC.

Oh and authorise it.

And then we got down to "Hey my schnuckums, you do remember your Apple ID and Login don't you?"

Hmmm better back-up your music.

And photos

And Apps

And Contacts

feck me sideways.

W4E, does it not automatically backup as part of the update process? Mine does.

And you shouldn't have to redownload anything, unless you synced it to an empty iTunes library.

iTunes is wank, I will agree with that.

Now you are on 5, you can update over the air with a press of a button. In fact get your missus to do it, she might remember her password now....

It's all done now - and no, it didn't resynch the Tunes back to the iPhone automatically.

I have tattooed the password to her head.

I have switched on automatic updates and iCloud and it's now on 6 not 4.x. :-)

The old one was shite too.

They've basically stripped away everything to make it easier. Which is ok, unless you actually need to do owt with it.

I asked a couple of weeks back if anyone had used the Sonos music streaming system .... the deafening silence which followed suggested no-one has.

I gave it a good bit of reading up, discussed it with some people who know what they're on about (ie. NOT Curry's staff) and took the plunge.

Oh ... my .... word. Still learning about it, but by 'eck it's good. All the "plug n play" they promised to a cynical ear has worked impaccably. I also get internet radio and can control seamlessly all my music .... & there's a heck of a lot of that. The two small white control/bridge boxes, hooked up to my amp. don't quite 'look' Hi-Fi and one sits, a tad incongruously, with the more traditional amp & stereo stuff. Otherwise, perfect.

Controlled off lap-top, pc, tablet or smart-phones .... incedibly easily.

It's able to take a wireless link to other multi-speaker units in other rooms, playing more than one music source at the same time. That can wait till summer.

Not cheap, but exactly what I was looking for. Ace.

The neighbours are going to LOVE me refinding love for my music, old & new. I think they were banging along with 'Bandstand' by Family, Genesis' 'Trick of the Tail' and 'Tubular Bells' at full belt last night. The new amp goes completely up to 11 as well.

My mother lives in Abergele and she was just saying on the phone last night that she could distinctly hear some Genesis drifting over from Wrexham way.
That's not a leopard!
