Knuckle dragging retard? I've got more qualifications than your entire extended family. Granted, not difficult when you're from a town that doesn't even rate a decent college, let alone a university, but still. Now, haven't you got a hi viz jacket to get washed for Monday or something?

Factory??!! FACTORY?! ,This is the final insult. Take a look around. This forum is so middle class we toast artisan breads for breakfast. We don't just pretend to like olives, we buy tapenade (Ask your Mrs if you've left her conscious). We holiday in places you've never heard of, drink Viognier like it's going out of fashion and even have a member who wears Jack Wills hoodies ironically. We've never seen inside a factory, except for our resident clown who visits them occasionally to sack their senior management teams.Roy of the Rovers wrote:Haha ha quality....are you on minimum wage or living wage....fallen off my sofa laughing at this one.....which of the factories local to breeze block do you work ?Bijou Bob wrote:Knuckle dragging retard? Yes, Bolton is run down, but most of us don't live there. Unlike you, we live in places that aren't full of child grooming nonces, Daesh (Look it up) supporters or closet Burnley fans. Now, be off with you, I'm too busy comparing hand grown coffees to be bothered with oiks. You might like to try one of the other Bolton forums I'm led to believe they have some of your fellow Britain First supporting, hi viz wearing plebs to wind up. I wish you luck.

To be fair, there's nothing to be ashamed about if you work in a factory or earn the minimum wage. I think it was a very poor 'insult' from Roy.

Less of the PPE snobbery please. If it wasn't for hi-viz, hard hats, boots and goggles your NHS would be a whole lot busier.

I worked in a factory, on the line, for a year.
Does that mean I'm our oik
?

I like Hi-Viz in factories. It lets you spot the idle fckrs who are trying to hide from you.
"Hey you .... yes .... YOU ... behind that pillar. Yes. I can see you. If you think this is hide & seek you're not very good at it."

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

True story - an amateur pilot was crossing to his aircraft and on return was hauled into a supervisor's office.bobo the clown wrote:I like Hi-Viz in factories. It lets you spot the idle fckrs who are trying to hide from you.

"You crossed that walkway without a hi-viz jacket on!"
"How did you know?"
"Because we could all see you from the window....."

I watched one of our best, knick name "Fast Eddie" breaking for the border one. He needed to get out of the factory and to the station next door as he had to buy his weekly stash. It was like a cartoon. He hashed from lamp-post to lamp-post, sometimes crossing the road to do so. At each one he'd cozy up to the post, straight as he could, looking around as he prepared for the next dash. Each time you could see him clearly either side of the pole. Feet, back of head, bum and the peeping face, before the next break.
Eventually he exited the factory perimeter and ran (well .... lolloped) to the station. I then appeared on the bridge and shouted down to him (as above) while he tried to melt into the background.
Eventually giving up he appeared, looked at his watch and said "Is it only 11am ? I thought it was going home time !".
We sacked him eventually for, amongst other things, his appalling timekeeping & absence. He appealed. He was late for his appeal meeting, calling in at noon having missed the 10am & saying he'd overslept but could he turn up at 3pm ?
"No !" I think was the answer.

Don't start. Now that we're owned by a bunch of corpulent Yanks, when I have to go down into the factory, generally just to request that someone gets something somewhere by sometime, I have to wear ear defenders, safety glasses (over my specs) a hi viz wescott, and some big fecking clown type stupid safety boots. We make felt, for feck* sake. Show me the bodies of the people killed by rolls of Polyester!Gary the Enfield wrote:And I wear a hi-viz jacket when on site!
