Wouldn't have been so bad but she had told my mum beforehand how she thought they would be a good match and my mum had somehow (she claims by accident) added her as a friend on facebook (despite never meeting her before) which she browses on her new phone as my dad as she doesn't have her own account. So it looks like our 60 something year old dad added this random twenty something girl (don't suppose he's best pleased with my mum either!) and this girl knows that this has happened and they are being set up and poor Tom was dragged out to meet her by my brother in law in the most awkward situation so he was not very happy - and then driving back home from Horsham he got flashed speeding. Could almost see the steam coming out his ears when he dropped us home..

If it had been a hot female he probably wouldn't have been quite so fed up

Crime:
Had the police up here Saturday night to a house in our block. Five louts, thinking the house was empty, presumably because there was building scaffolding up and the neighbours are living in the back to have a new front room floor, (hence tools lying about in there) were trying to get in the side gate when my neighbour saw them, shouted and they legged it. ( This was six in the evening in broad daylight) Last Thursday the supermarket on Minerva Road, less than a couple of hundred yards from where I live, was robbed at gunpoint by four lads, in masks and hoods, who emptied the till and took a load of cigarettes. A couple of mornings ago my next-door-but-one neighbour came down to find his two hens gone and the third with its throat cut in the back garden. It's always been a quiet, peaceful area around here. Not any longer it seems.

Agree. Haven't Sky Sports News dedicated the day to the build up of the "unmissable" game?thebish wrote:the total media wankfest about some poxy game between two sets of utter c*nts...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
How many games have Sky described as the 'biggest ever' down the years?
The hype is ridiculous.
But I cannot how football fans wouldn't be at least intrigued to watch.
Exclusively watching your own team is not healthy IMO......

Utd fans on facebook today with some photoshopped picture of a fat bloke with a city tattoo and with a gorgeous gal and another picture of the Premiership trophy. Caption of 'Money may get you this' (the gal) but it wont get you this (the trophy).
I must have missed De Gea, Ferdinand, Evra, Jones, Smalling, Carrick & Rooney all moving to OT on free transfers

Aye Harry, I was wondering myself whether they'd play the £30 million Berbatov or the £30 million Rooney, the £23 million Young or maybe even the £150 grand a week sicknote Owen.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Which one then? Berbatov moved there for £30m according to the papers at the time. Rooney went for between £26m & £30m according to reports at the time. Young I seem to recall was £17-19m. God knows how much Owens on mind. If it's £s per game he must be skint!boltonboris wrote:Only one of those figures is remotely accurate..

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
this may not be actually true in the sense that it "happens" - but it certainly SEEMS so!!!
why is it that when we lose, R5 up the frequency of their sports bulletins to once every 5minutes??? yet when we win - they have one per hour?

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
One of the lead items on the news all day has been the "outrage" of it taking three hours for non EU citizens to get through Heathrow. AND? If you can get through any American airport in three hours it's cause to crack open the fecking Champagne. Homeland Security are THE most awkward, jobsworthy, obnoxious bastards on God's green earth. Is that on the news in America? They couldn't care less!
