How long is your commute? If it's less than an hour, you should be ashamed!!Bruce Rioja wrote:Aaaaanyway - out of here at 15:30, pub by 16:30

Re: Today I'm happy about......
I have found what I want for Christmas!
An Amy Pond Figure and maybe a Doctor Figure that comes with a mop
There's also a Weeping Angel Figure but it's not as good as the old one
(they are $15 each on clearance so 2 will be enough)

Re: Today I'm happy about......
I put them on hold with my Son today and said this:
I am going to come back in a week and re-put them on hold...
The woman Cracked it.
but did say I could maybe pay for 1 in a week and have the other one on hold.
it was at this time I looked and the Doctor Figure and thought that I didn't want it anymore.
I Spose I will still get it.

there's really nothing like the damp-leaved, earthy smell of the woods on an misty/drizzly autumn morning with conkers and acorns under-foot.... Britain is fab!

My daughter says Autumn is her favourite season... Lucky her... since it seems to be getting longer as 'summer' gets shorter...thebish wrote:just took the dog out..

When the trees turn colour the walks round the three north reservoirs is so beautiful, especially on a sunny morning... the reflection of the trees in the water, and the trees themselves... and the paths covered in leaves... I do love it...
But nothing beats Portuguese sunshine for me...

I too used to love autumn, you two. In a way I still miss it. That's not to say that we don't have autumn here, but the vast majority of the trees growing here (excluding exotics) are evergreens. That fact though does make me happy as we don't as a rule have a barren landscape littered with skeleton trees during the winter season. Anyway spring has sprung, the early flowers are blooming and all is well in the garden of Chez Dujon.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
I love Autumn, think it might be my favourite season but i can't decide cos winter has Christmas and snow and Spring has daffodils and lambs and Summer means sun and shorts...
I'm very grateful to live in a country where the seasons are so well defined. Would hate to live in a place where there wasn't much obvious change all year!

Re: Today I'm happy about......
In fairness our seasons are very well defined. In winter it is cold, and it rains. In Summer, the rain is a lot warmer.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
Autumn's nice but it precludes Winter. I'll take spring anytime thanks. Nothing like seeing the first daffodils, first sunshine and that new beginning feeling.
