Superliga final. Pachuca vs LA galaxy.

I was very happy with the ending. Even though galaxy lost on penalties. Why? I'll tell you. The reason why galaxy were behind in the first place was because of a ridiculous own goal..... abel xavier almost made a terrific own goal himself, but somehow cannon saved it. Best save of the match, honestly. Well actually, the best saves were from the pachuca goalkeeper, who made three stops to three pinpoint headers. Especially the first one, it was right at the corner, and it wasn't slow either. Absolutely amazing.
Anyway, in the 93rd minute of the game, all hope seemed like it was lost. There were less then 30 seconds to go, and you could see people in the crowd leaving. However, chris klein made a beautiful bicycle kick to tie the game. Jesus jumping christ, I was jumping around in my house at 12 o clock in the morning, and I hate the galaxy. Especially Beckham and Landycakes. Nothing this Epic has happened since Beckham scored against Greece, in the last minute of the game (well, I was pissed because I'm Greek American but... yeah. Epic).
Well, all WAS lost, because when it came to penalties, Landycake's shot was blocked by the goalie, and abel xavier made an embarrassing miss to deny them the title. I was happy, because they showed one of the lower teams in the MLS could have easily won against a good team from mexico. Well, actually I wouldn't say Galaxy are bad. Just unlucky.
I'm actually suprised how well landycakes played, he made two marodona-type runs that beat many defenders, and has a good free kick. I never gave him a chance before, and now that I did, I can see why some people call him the best American player, he's a midfielder and yet has the most goals in his team. Although I still think he isn't the best.... Anyway, Beckham got injured, and won't play for another 6 weeks. Mwahaha.

Great game. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and the whole Superliga tournament. It should be better next year as only the best teams enter it rather than being an invitation only sort of thing. Hopefully New York stops this slump of ours and we make it to a top 4 finish.
