What are your favorite sports teams? In order if possible.
Does anyone support another team more? I'm interested to see how wildy different we all are outside of our one sports connection.
As an American most of my teams will be nothing to most of you.
1. Bolton Wanderers
2. English National Team
3. Boston Red Sox
4. US National Team
5. Washington Redskins
6. New England Patriots
7. Boston Celtics
8. Virginia Cavaliers
9. Boston Bruins
The order is difficult, but truthfully football is my favorite sport. Baseball is my second favorite sport. I think it comes from my Dad. We watched both together growing up.

Toronto Maple Leafs
San Francisco 49ers
Bolton Wanderers
Vancouver Canucks
Seattle Seahawks
San Francisco Giants
Denver Nuggets (used to be Seattle Supersonics)
Toronto Blue Jays
Pittsburg Steelers
Boy making up a most hated would be so much easier. I could do 9 teams minimum for every sport I follow and yes Yankees, Red Sox, Canadiens, Raiders, Cowboys, Liverpool, Man U etc etc would all feature prominently.

I suppose one has to be honest even if I'm the only one who doesn't put Bolton first.
Montreal Canadiens (I've lived and died with them for 46 years)
BWFC (but the last time I saw them live Wyn Davis was no. 9)
England (football)
Montreal Alouettes (Canadian football - oval ball and armor).
I used to like baseball but lost interest when our local team was moved.

7. Boston Celtics.......LA Lakers
8. Virginia Cavaliers...............Virginia Tech Hokies

Depends what you mean by 'favourites'. If you mean 'are actually arsed about and have some investment in whether they win or lose' then the answer's Liverpool followed by, er, nobody.
If the list is 'teams you'd quite like to win games but aren't really all that fussed one way or another' then you can lump any number of teams onto the list.

I suppose that having three favourite American football teams and two baseball might guarantee some success in the post-season - but not apparently a great deal. Still, I have always supported the Raiders in the AFL then the NFL - slim pickings for me lately too.seanworth wrote:Toronto Maple Leafs

England Rugby Union.......................Antichrist - Whoever we're playing on the day
Bolton Wanderers/ABU.....................Antichrist - Man United
England Cricket...............................Antichrist - Australia Cricket
Europe Ryder Cup...........................Antichrist - US and Fiji
England Football...............................Antichrist - Germany
GB RL.............................................Antichrist - Australia RL
Lancashire CCC...............................Antichrist - Yorkshire CCC
Swinton RL......................................Antichrist - Salford RL
Then a couple of local Cricket teams I played for - Swinton Moorside in the Manchester Association and Monton and Weaste in the Central Lancs league and a few local Rugby Union Teams who I played for - Broughton Park, De La Salle and Tyldesley.
I am a little bemused by how people can "support" more than one team at the same sport - what happens when/if they play each other?

Yeah kind of an underdog supporter although not necessarily by choice. 9ers closest team to me until Seattle moved to town. I liked the Steelers only because they beat the Cowboys Raiders and Dolphins who I hated. 9ers later on developed into a good team.Montreal Wanderer wrote:I suppose that having three favourite American football teams and two baseball might guarantee some success in the post-season - but not apparently a great deal. Baseball like basketball is a game I have drifted away from. Did like the Expos many years ago. Rusty Staub & Bill Spaceman Lee the philosopher.
The Giants was my 2nd baseball game I attended as a kid and saw Willy Mays so how could I not like them.

Been fortunate enough to have had season tickets for all 3.
