Wanderers star Sam Ricketts turned to teammates Kevin Davies and Matt Taylor in an attempt to find his two lost dogs.

Davies and Taylor both put updates on their Twitter webpage appealing for help.

The two Jack Russell dogs named Dot and Daisy went missing in Acton Bridge, Cheshire.

near to the player’s home on Tuesday and a £500 reward has been offered for their safe return.

Taylor wrote: “If you can help please tweet me.

Sam and his wife are very worried.”

Wanderers captain Davies added: “Sam Ricketts has lost his two Jack Russells in the Acton Bridge area on Tuesday—£500 reward if anyone has info. Picture to follow.”

Both players posted a picture of the two dogs on their Twitter webpages.

Taylor tweeted the appeal first to his 16,519 followers and then Davies sent out the message to his 63,996 fans.

Davies’ number of followers shot up after he used Twitter to ask people for advice on how to prepare Pop Tarts

I heard Ricketts on TalkSPORT going on about it.......he's not very Welsh-sounding for a Welshman.
