Bolton 13th on 2009/10 wage bills.

Bolton 13th on wage totals wedged between a rock and a hard place (Stoke and Blackburn). $46m in a bunch of 40-somethings.
I daresay that would be a bit better currently after clearing out Elmander, Samuels, McCann, Hunt, A.O'Brien, Riga, Shittu, JOB and maybe Gardner. Bit of wiggle room for a few new signings.

What could've happened; did.

I'd have thought West Ham's bill would have been larger than that.

Plus in that year we got rid of megson and his staff so that will have bumped it up too.

9/10 and 10/11 were both expensive years for us what with Megson's gardening leave and what seemed like a lot of deadwood on the treatment table.
This coming year, after everyone that's been released, feels like we might actually be getting what we're paying for.

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

How dare you forget their World Famous and World Cup winning academy that will be propping up their team with cheap young local talent like Obinna! Shame on you.seanworth wrote:I'd have thought West Ham's bill would have been larger than that.

Mind you it was $66m in 2009.
We were $40m in 2009. I think we'll be about that again this year.
