Steve was stung through the heart by a stingray while filming.

The guy has just been killed filming a documentary - his family is grieving

I agree, it's obvious if you call Steve Irwin an "idiot", you have no idea who he is and what he's done.

Some of you make me sick. The disrespectful comments regarding Steve's death are a disgrace.

I know some are paying their respects which i commend. Steve was a fantastic bloke, and did wonders for the enviroment and the health of wildlife. He was an entertainer and an educator.

All i can say is RIP Steve.

I was never a fan of his show but he seemed to do a lot for the wildlife centre where he worked. Brought money and publicity to the centre, which could only be good for the animals.
