Yes I can see like 10-12 teams all between 48-60 points. It will certainly be interesting!BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 2:53 pm
Its a tougher league to stay up in. I hope we are better than last season and I have little doubt we eventually will be once things click into place. But its relative. I think we'll need to be better simply to be where we were. And that was very, very close.

I think we're a lot better than last year. The bench options are really good.
The balance has shifted too, much more attacking minded. I'd like another defensive mid but Murphy on a free may be the signing that keeps us up. Out of the blue a sure sign of the football gods' favour. Got some loanees to come too!

Not sure how Buckley's managed to jump the queue ahead of Noone and Wildy (and I'm presuming Ozzy's still not 100%?), but otherwise looking good. Promising that he's put faith in Murphy to start.

A solid enough starting eleven to go with away from home against probably one of the best teams in the league. I presume the thinking behind playing Buckley over Wildschut is that he offers greater protection in front of Taylor, who wilI need it if he's up against Matty Phillips.
COYWM.

Having listened to a replay of last season's last day heroics (it was absolutely manic on Tower) and listening to the Brom homers doing an impersonation of singing, it time to lace the boots up and go to battle. Some of our names are a bit unfamiliar but we'll get used to no doubt. I still think Alf might be a factor, but he's on the bench to start. Anyway, time go roll it....

Chris Price is mic man today. Whites in all black (that sounds a bit Chinese, oh, er..) anyway, 25 degree heat out there and off we go. Lowe and Sammy, then Vela get early mentions but the homers take over. They sally, Low, Vela and Wheats clear, they come again and we get a throw. Mic man has a ramble, then Macgennis tries for a free kick but no joy. Sammy tries, some to and fro and Ben gets his first wallop of the season. They sally, we clear via Pavel and they get a throw, Sammi clears.

They come again and win a corner. Phillips takes, inswinger and Wheats clears....Sammi loses out and is down hard and needing treatment. Bit of a worry here? Mic man chunters about this and that, then Sammi gets up shakily. He's being treated off the pitch. Pavel a bit busy, then Sammi returns.

I now understand the move to the Black away shirt!

Wheats a bit eager and gives one away. Phillips being a bit busy and we get a goal kick. They clear and we get a throw. In from Taylor and.....they clear to halfway we send it back but they gather and clear. Livermore sallies at us, thy have some possesion and Phillips is involved again. Some smart passing from them and here they come again. Barkley comes, a shot comes in from Barnes and Ben gathers and wallops. Throw us now and....Taylor and...some scores, then....Buckley loses out and Lowe is mentioned. Rodrigues comes but Taylor and Beevers clear.

Wigan go ahead on Sheffield as Albion come again but we get a goal kick. They clear, Barnes comes, Sammi wins it and...we get a deep throw. Taylor throws long, it's flicked away and...the keepr knocks it over for a corner us. Vela now and...cleared. Buckley send it in and we get another corner. And....Macgennis getting ragged about. Sammi and...McGennis SCORES........

Good stuff, always good for a new striker to get the first goal in early. Less pressure then in other games.
