Re: Administration and recovery
I'll be surprised if no-one turns up from the admins and/or FV, and I'll be surprised if the injunction doesn't get discharged. They'll tell the mad f*ck to crack on and sue bent Ken.

I don't think anything will get resolved today but I hope I'm wrong.

The bloke in charge today:
Stephen John Arthur Eyre QC, aged 61, known as His Honour Judge Eyre QC was called to the Bar in 1981 and took Silk in 2015. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2005, a fee-paid Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2007 (now known as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Health, Education and Social Care Chamber (Mental Health)) and as a Circuit Judge in 2015.
His Honour Judge Stephen John Arthur Eyre QC was appointed to be a Specialist Civil Circuit Judge at Manchester Civil Justice Centre with effect from Monday 20 November 2017.

Re: Administration and recovery
It simply has to be resolved one way or another today otherwise IMO the club is gone, last night showed that we need to bring a load of players in before the transfer window closes in a couple of weeks & unless its sorted today there is no one in control moving forward (FV are left in limbo) to do this, as we would still be in administration with no further funds available.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 7:40 amI don't think anything will get resolved today but I hope I'm wrong.
Its inexcusable if the judge adjourns the case today, someone from the administrators needs to either send a representative or a strongly worded letter to the judge outlining the damaging consequences of an adjournment. Bassini unbelievably says that he loves the club & is now a fan, but he also needs to be told that he will severely damage the club & will be even more hated by the fans if this rumbles on any longer.

Re: Administration and recovery
The tin-foil hat in me, contemplates if this whole thing rumbled on either through Bassini or any other non-Bassini reason, somehow, past the transfer window, we'd be left with a really affordable squad...that was unlikely to win much but everyone could say "not our fault"...Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 8:30 amIt simply has to be resolved one way or another today otherwise IMO the club is gone, last night showed that we need to bring a load of players in before the transfer window closes in a couple of weeks & unless its sorted today there is no one in control moving forward (FV are left in limbo) to do this, as we would still be in administration with no further funds available.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 7:40 amI don't think anything will get resolved today but I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Administration and recovery
The one factor that surprises with Bassini is his insistence he has the funds. This would have to be proven or he could be done for all sorts of legal misdemeanours, so someone in the background must be doing that and seriously want the club. There would be no guarantee it would remain a football club of course and not real estate development fodder, but Bassini's persistance is strange to say the least.

Should be able to suss Lozza out as soon as he starts gibbering on. I genuinely do think he's got problems, and while I'm usually disposed to be sympathetic in such matters, I'll make an exception in his case.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 8:27 amThe bloke in charge today:

Judge: So Mr Bassini, what is your claim here today?TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 9:10 amThe one factor that surprises with Bassini is his insistence he has the funds. Bassini: I want to save this club and agreed to buy it from Ken Anderson.
Judge: You didn't provide proof of funds as required in the SPA
Bassini: I was just getting the money, I had a text, Sir Dave Rich, David Sullivan, £1m, I can save this club.
Judge: So do you have £50m?
Bassini: Yes, yes, David Sullivan, family, Sir Dave Rich
Judge: Do you have written proof, Mr Bassini?
Bassini: Yes I got this text, look..
Judge: That says "Mr Bassini will transfer £1m to BWFC in 12 monthly installments"
Bassini: But Sir Dave Rich, David Sullivan, I will save this club
Judge: AAARRRGGHHH. Case closed. Dismissed. Arrest that man for wasting my bloody time!

Re: Administration and recovery
Ironically, our wage bill as it stands is probably £9m, £10m lower than it has been in the past couple of seasons. Nullifies the loss of Championship TV and gate money and still a fair chunk left to eat into the c£6m/year losses KA had brought things down to, minus transfers.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 8:50 amThe tin-foil hat in me, contemplates if this whole thing rumbled on either through Bassini or any other non-Bassini reason, somehow, past the transfer window, we'd be left with a really affordable squad...that was unlikely to win much but everyone could say "not our fault"...Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 8:30 amIt simply has to be resolved one way or another today otherwise IMO the club is gone, last night showed that we need to bring a load of players in before the transfer window closes in a couple of weeks & unless its sorted today there is no one in control moving forward (FV are left in limbo) to do this, as we would still be in administration with no further funds available.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 7:40 amI don't think anything will get resolved today but I hope I'm wrong.

Fan expectation also re-calibrated - who's expecting promotion this season? Bassini take note - we don't need to gamble the family silver on getting back to the Premier League within 20 minutes. We need some youth, home-grown talent, passion and desire to play for the badge.
Just a couple of L1 and a strange soft drink-sponsored cup game into the season, it's easy to see how some of the lads could build a profile that would take them comfortably into a 6-figure value bracket by the end of the season.
We obviously need more bodies and some wise heads thrown in if we're to have a chance of avoiding a double drop, but if the new owners (whoever that's going to be) were so inclined, this summer has, if nothing else, given them the chance to do things sustainably and from the bottom up, from this point.

No phones allowed in the court apparently. No news until the whole thing is over, unless someone nips out for a piss!

I suspect there will be a fight between everyone in there to get the news out first.
Re: Administration and recovery
Don't think there will be "news" yet. Expect the J to reserve judgement until the morning, unless they're done sharpish.

And, if the injunction is lifted, I wouldn't rule out the mad f*ck trying to speak to the Court of Appeal and asking for another interim injunction until that's heard.
