Christ alive has EFL football really sunk that low in the pecking order as to be on some godforsaken channel I've (and I'm assuming most others) have never even heard of? What happened to channel 5 weren't they on there?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 3:46 pmColin Murray's EFL MotD.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 3:11 pmWhilst we are making admissions - I have literally no idea what that is...Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 1:01 pmIndeed. With respect, BWFCi, it's a bit of a 1990s mindset to hanker for it to be on the channel that functioned as Richard "Asian Babes" Desmond's TV wank-bank. As a free-to-air digital channel, Quest is just as accessible as Five (now thankfully out of the despicable Desmond's clutches). The fact you haven't heard of it two and a half years into the deal might not be entirely their fault.
Quest is owned by Discovery (and teammate of Eurosport), so it's hardly a tiny concern. The big "sell" was that it could offer a Saturday 9pm slot – it's a long programme, often two hours. A rumoured record-breaking seven-figure deal probably helped too: quite simply, it was the best offer on the table.

I find that as my years advance I become increasingly less and less of a football fan per-se. I have MotD on series link, but usually just watch the one on Sunday; often I delete the Quest show without watching it at all.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 4:36 pmI'm just not that bothered about watching non-BWFC football these days, it's a bit of a chore just to keep up with the MOTDs.
Such is my lack of interest now in football in which I've no emotional investment that I've even cancelled both SKY and BT sports set-ups.

I barely watch the premiership. Lads have cajoled me into doing a fantasy league team and I am awful, barely heard of anyone!

Cancelled Sky when I went freelance in 2018; I’d never subscribed to BT. So yeah.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 6:22 pmI find that as my years advance I become increasingly less and less of a football fan per-se. Anyways, was it you who asked for Harrogate Town 1 Arrogant Clown 0? Just seen it on the Quest highlights. Watch from 1.17 below to see how well Nigel Clough’s half-time team talk went - within 15 seconds th were behind and never came back...

I’m similar. I still watch the odd game on sky but it’s mainly to see teams I dislike lose. I think it’s the overexposure and overegging of overpaid players and the like that’s done it for me. I don’t mind the money in the game or that just the fact that you will have a fifteen hour analysis of the headband that some overrated greasy haired shite like (for example) Grealish and how he’s going to win the World Cup for England. Then you watch him in said World Cup and realise he’s bang average at best. It’s incessantly overhyped. Everything about it.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 6:22 pmI find that as my years advance I become increasingly less and less of a football fan per-se. I haven't watched a single episode of MotD since we were relegated in 2012.

I also can't be arsed with other football. Wanderers is enough for me. Always amazes me when someone mentions a rival league 2 player and people don't just know who he is but have opinions on his talents.
I'm well up on our own though, so ahead of Bruce, who just found out who Eoin Doyle was a couple of days ago.
