I get what you're saying off previous evidence but this seems a bit harsh - I'll take some positivity rn wherever I can find it (& do my best to log off for a couple of days if it all goes to shit today:)

If anyone wants a lunchtime amuse-bouche of nailbiting drama, and has Sky (or like me is springing for the 24hr NowTV thing), the Champo regular season finishes with today's 12.30 kick-offs – and Sky is showing Derby v Sheff Wed... two of those plus Plucky Yo-Yo Team Rotherham will go down today.

You can get decent odds on a 13-0 win for Wycombe with Sheff Weds beating Derby 1-0 and Rotherham losing...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 11:30 amIf anyone wants a lunchtime amuse-bouche of nailbiting drama, and has Sky (or like me is springing for the 24hr NowTV thing), the Champo regular season finishes with today's 12.30 kick-offs – and Sky is showing Derby v Sheff Wed... two of those plus Plucky Yo-Yo Team Rotherham will go down today.

Problem with it being on sky is they are going to run a live league table all the way through the game aren’t they? Will do my tits in.

I imagine there's a certain air of panic in the offices of the EFL possible postponements.
I don't know what can or will happen if ours is on but others aren't.

All I can say is that the kettle is warmed up. Can't do anymore than that

It'll be arse-covered in the regs. It's kinda force majeure, basically tough tits, but you imagine the ref would have to be pretty sure on the decision and not be led by a manager with something to gain.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 12:19 pmI imagine there's a certain air of panic in the offices of the EFL possible postponements.

It used to happen back in the 70s etc that even "important" games could be played out of sync. Then you've got Liverpool-Arsenal in 89, although I think that only affected those two and which of them would win the title. I would be surprised if the League rules had since been reworded to paint themselves into a corner – surely even the FL aren't that daft.

Rain stopped in SE London. If it’s the same in Crawley there’s no chance of this getting postponed.
1-2 win for the Super Whites. Sarce and Doyler.

They're posting stuff on their Twitter account at the moment. I would've thought if it was really bad, we'd have seen some pictures of waterlogged pitches and an army of "helpers" with mops by now...

We'd presumably have heard about planned pitch inspections as well.

Iles has just posted something similar, saying pitch a bit patchy, but officials don't look too concerned...

It was a 4 team group. The other side being Chile. What they did in that tournament and haven't repeated it since, was Algeria and Chile played earlier, so both the European sides knew that a 1-0 win for West Germany took them both through. They went ahead really early and then both sides just rolled it around between them.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 10:45 amsince 1982’s Anschluss game in which West Germany and Austria stitched up Algeria in a stupid three-team World Cup group.

Fair! The three-team groups were the second stage.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 12:59 pmIt was a 4 team group. The other side being Chile. I had a mild panic when I saw championship games on and thought I'd missed kick off.Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 11:12 amSame. But not today. Had to double check start time, was hoping for 1pm.Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 10:49 amHarry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 10:29 amI was more nervous at this time last week.
That result has at least prepared me for the worst today but its not needed. We'll feckin shit em!
I wasn’t nervous at all last week. I was going around the house singing, ‘we are going up’. That went well!
Make it stop...
Been painting walls to the sweet melodies of System of a Down.
Whoever is promoted will be among Sheffield Wednesday and Derby as it stands.
However I've been to both of those grounds so am looking forward to Harrogate and Barrow away
