What type of orgies?
You can keep the human sacrifice, but the rest of it sounds better than going to midnight mass.

Can we add back in the month of drinking to celebrate the grain and hop harvests too?Prufrock wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 5:31 pmTANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 4:32 pmNah, those old pagan worshippers were all about sex orgies and human sacrifice and stuff.. Re: General Chit Chat
It's a good question my friend and I'm not foolish enough to pretend it won't arise repeatedly or that I ( as no saint) know any answers beyond the Bible. In truth, not all my own family share my views on all of it of it, but belief without proof, ie religion, is the deadly enemy of science so, as you say, each to their own. I return your Christmas wishes with thanks..Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 5:07 pmI wonder how history will view Christianity on the sex front? (I ask this as a Catholic), then of course there were the Crusades... lol.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 4:32 pmNah, those old pagan worshippers were all about sex orgies and human sacrifice and stuff.. Each to their own TD. Merry Christmas, Sir.

Re: General Chit Chat
Just had my Covid booster from a very nice (non medically trained!) soldier which I was surprised at, though I had read that the army would be helping out. Anyway, I digress, have many people had bad symptoms after their Covid boosters?! I was fine for the first two but lots of friends have been taken out by the booster it would seem. I need to know if I am going to be genuinely ill or whether I need to fake it for a day in bed whilst Mr GG charges round after the kids!

I mentioned back a ways G.G.that both the wife and I have had the booster without any noticeable effects. I suspect it's just like all else, folk are different, so who knows? It's not a question with a definitive answer. Hope you skip though it.

Yes, does seem a bit random who it affects, no rhyme or reason to it, and same with Covid itself. My neighbour (young, fit and healthy) had it really bad last Christmas where her husband hardly had any symptoms. My mum shared a house and bed with my dad who had it mildly in the autumn and didn’t get it at all. Glad you’re all jabbed up and healthy that way Tango. Does seem this variant, whilst more contagious, isn’t as dangerous thankfully. Still can’t believe I’ve escaped it so far working in a school environment tbh! I see Arteta has caught it for the second time, poor guy! Misses the City game NYD, which, if anything like the away match, will be a blessed relief to him I’m sure!TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:39 pmI mentioned back a ways G.G.that both the wife and I have had the booster without any noticeable effects. Absolutely none other than for momentarily waking up after rolling on to my left side and feeling the mild discomfort of where the needle went in.Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 12:35 pmI need to know if I am going to be genuinely ill or whether I need to fake it for a day in bed whilst Mr GG charges round after the kids!
My flu jab, however, had me feeling like utter shite for a week.

Did you not have both at the same time? My mum did one in each arm I think. Got a painful arm but that’s it so far. My first Pfizer I could feel the injection area for a day but no symptoms. Second shot and booster I didn't even notice the injection area. For the flu shot, two weeks before the booster, I didn't even feel the needle going in. Eventually I asked if I was part of a strange government experiment in which I was given placebos. My wife, who had the same shots at the same time, had more ill effects, though nothing serious. Luck of the genetic draw.

No, my flu jab was between my second vaccination and my booster. Chocolate sounds like a capital ideaGooner Girl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 8:14 pm

Parents of kids older then mine. Is there ever a time/age you stop being worried about them/for them?
