A lot of soft free kicks being won by Wigan here.
Nothing we wouldn't do if 3-0 up.
Of course. Just not getting the impression they're entirely deserved at times. Ref giving them the benefit of the doubt and us being clumsy I guess.

DC picking the wrong crosses today.

Williams is really poor today. Had to say it.

I'm getting the impression Jones has been the biggest guilty party. Whether that is the midfield not showing for him or their midfield being quick to read it, it's hard to tell. Either way, its not a good sight.

JDC's balls too far wide, as is Williams'. We're clearly aiming back post. Maybe time for N'lundulu to come off and Bodvarsson to come on, need a bit of height and strength in there.

Jones has been abysmal today. Hope Toal’s close to being ready.

Gotta say we've been far better than this scoreline suggests.

We've had a lot of balls in the box and a lot of possession, and yet we're on for a battering. Last time we got beat 4-0 we were prone to stupid defensive errors and today is no different.

FFS 4-0.

Dempsey put a foot in. Just sat there watching their midfielder run at the defence.

Well this puts a different complexion on the transfer window now. Anyone fancy Morley and Sheehan? Anyone?

Gonna have a couple of pastings this season.

Baxter doesn't leave the 18 yard box, ever. Lost the sweeper from last season.

Evatt needs to sign a spine and fast because this is completely and totally unacceptable on every level. Midfield completely battered off the park today. And I think it’s only fixed with players who have the physicality to deal with this. And Sheehan, Morley and Maghoma are all short here.

Jones off finally. Bad day at the office for him.
Nice to see changes up top.

How the fk is this 4-0?

In games like this we should be tough to beat. We're far from that.

We are lucky it’s only 4. We could play all night and not come close to scoring. They look like scoring every attack. We’ve been played off the park today. Let’s not pretend otherwise. In every department they’ve outplayed us.

No it doesn't. We've still won 4 out of 5 this season. If you'd offered us that at the start we'd have all taken it. A bad day at the office on the back of 4 good ones.

It'll be reet

It’s a half decent team and it’s completely shown us the issues we had last season are still here in abundance. If anyone tries to pretend it doesn’t they are in complete denial.

Attendance: 21,468. That'll soon change. When we decide to lose, we're sure good at it..

Exactly. It's a marathon, not a sprint. We've started miles better than most seasons under Evatt. Today's hopefully just an off day. It rankles that its against Wigan but we'll move past that.

Sad thing is we all know we can play better than this.

Again, not it's not. It's a really good team. We've had a bad day, and I still don't know how we're 4 down.

It happens. We need to move on. If we lose the next 4 then I'll be happy to admit I'm wrong. However, if we end up winning the next 2 or 3i think most of us will be quite pleased

Writing this off as a ‘bad day’ would be as negligent as we were last season in ignoring the problems. Seriously the game is a carbon copy of all the teams we struggled against last season. Press us. Get on top of the midfield.

A bad day at the office is an unlucky right 2-1 defeat. Not being battered out of sight by a decent but not exactly great side put together under embargo with no money.

Wigan aren’t the only side who will do this. Evatt needs to get real busy.
