Is it time to make the appeal again?keveh wrote:I'm afraid you've got that wrong there.sluffy wrote:Soldier who owns the site didn't seem to have a problem with it (he thanked me for the offer!) - neither have Tango or Zulu (is Mof still about?).
If they are fine about it then I don’t see the problem?
My name is on everything, but we have never seen it as an individuals site. It belongs to the members who contribute behind the scenes, write articles and make donations. This site wouldn't be what it is without the members, they make the site.
Also, just to say that I don't mind members of this site visiting other website at all. I'm well aware that people have accounts across all sites and each site offers a different option to the community.
So whilst the site is down for a few hours I'm sure they will find something to do and are well aware of WW and BA, they don't need it advertising to them.
I'll give it a go anyway...

The Hangover is a great film. I'm fcuking off to Burnden Aces where appreciation of this film might be, er, well appreciated.Bruce Rioja wrote:I was just going to say, anyone that rates Meet the Fockers and The Hangover..........William the White wrote:No one who thinks Meet the Fockers is a good film is a film snob...sluffy wrote: Oh and General – you are a film snob!
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

See you at 4.01pm on Wednesday.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Am I getting a bit of de ja vu here...?sluffy wrote:Apologies - I was under the impression that Bench handed 'ownership' to Soldier.
Otherwise fair comment Kev - as BA is as widely known as ww or bb then I certainly did not think my offer would be taken as anything other than what it was - a genuine offer of help.
Obviously a couple of people did.
or have I read this on 3 other wanderers forums....?

I don’t think im a snob, just like watching films. Ill watch owt tho me, & I always try and find positives in them. And unless it is really is truly awful, or another coin spinning soulless spin off sequel, my worst criticism is usually “not my cup of tea”
Saying that tho, if there is a film on I don't know much about I check it out on IMDB, and if it scores lower than a 7 then I tend not to bother!
It's just i really hate it when films are simply branded ‘SHITE’, my missus does it all the time, “WTF is this shite your watching?” “feck off, its not shite, im enjoying it, just because you don’t like it, just because its not fecking big brother or some nice people dancing in front of some no-mark judges! Try giving it a chance – think of all the people have invested lots of their time, money and effort, blood, sweat & tears into making this picture!”

Do you know William Goldman's brilliant book Which Lie did I tell? If you want an insider's view of the movie industry it is a must read... By the twice oscar winning screenwriter of Butch Cassidy and All the President's Men.General Mannerheim wrote:I don’t think im a snob, just like watching films. Be discerning, I reckon, is not a bad idea...

Do we get a warning?
I'm going to head over to WanderersWays. Although I'm a bit scared of them. I believe they bite.
