Still, tonight hubby is doing some of the sainsburys bargain deal. For £15 we got drinks 4 J2O bottles, starter - camembert in bread crumbs, main - beef bourguignon, side - cheesy garlic bread, pudding - gu choc puds and a box of chocolate truffle. Not bad value and there was a bit of a choice. Anyway its still cooking and i've already eaten half the box of chocolate truffles...
Half temptation, half confessional...
Be a northern bird before you know it... just keep on eating the chocolate...

I buy fairtrade when I can - and the wine world is dipping its toe into the market...
I tried a fairtrade argentine shiraz last night - couple of glasses - from the region of Famatina Valley (from the cellars of the La Riojana project)
(in the Co-op range of fairtrade wines)
very nice indeed - will find room for another couple of glasses on my return from Walthamstow sometime late tonight...

You'll probably have room for a couple of bottles, if you've been to Walthamstow...thebish wrote:I buy fairtrade when I can - and the wine world is dipping its toe into the market...

Been at least a couple of years since I tried any fairtrade wines (when it was awful!) Sounds like I should try again. Two bottles of Steendrift (fairtrade) 2010 merlot from South Africa just turned up in my quarterly case from Laithwaites though so I look forward to trying that.

Carrot and coriander soup - I made.
Fish pie - wife made.
Macon Villages - inhabitants of Burgundy made. Grocers of Germany sold. The most persistent wine bargain going - still £4.99 at Aldi...
