Tony Kelly
Apparently he had a heart attack yesterday, I don't really know much more but he's posted on twitter that he's okay.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I take it the Reebok was built on plot thirteen of the Gypsy-American Indian Black Cat and Rabiit's Foot burial ground, then?

This quote gets wheeled out every time Zico is mentioned, but I still don't tire of it.

Get well soon mate.

Must have been pretty sudden (I know they always are, but you get my point) as he played in a charity match on Sunday.
All the best Zico, hope you're on the mend soon.

Re: Tony Kelly
Best wishes, Zico. I remember his early days, there was one game up at Darlo where he seemed determined to only pass to Michael Brown, but after that he developed into one of the finest passers in the lower leagues. He'd been bought because Steve Thompson – at the time, one of our best players – wanted a move but Tomo didn't get one in summer, so there was an awkward game or two where Tomo played wide right (IIRC) while Zico took over in the middle. After a couple of games it was more like "are you still hanging around? We've moved on mate!"
Fast forward a couple of years and there you are at Anfield, spraying balls left and right to David Lee and Scott Green as we announced our arrival as a ball-playing team to fear. Jamie Redknapp reduced to raking studs down your legs, I've still never forgiven the shiny-suited knobhead.
Get well soon Tony, and let's hope this teaches you to monitor your refuelling, because even Bruce Rioch couldn't get through to you that you get out what you put in. Had Rioch not already earned a boatload of respect from Bolton fans, that could have been enough to start a terrace revolution. Not many modern midfielders you can imagine sharing a pint with.

I think Zico would much prefer a pint of his own rather than sharing one, DSB

Get well soon
For me, while he was on the way out of the team, but t he '94 cup replay. The goal that never was at Highbury as well... Carlos-esq free kick and the ref pulled it back because Keown had encroached... sent off Keown disallowed the goal...

His dribble from the halfway line at Springfield Hole which left half the Wigan side on their arses, slotted it past the keeper (Tunks?) Then windmilled past us on the mud banking. fecking A
