The Birmingham City Blues At Home
As a relative newbie to the site (but long time lurker) I'm excited to start my first match thread. It'll be my luck that there's already one on offer and if so, I'm sorry.
In any event, I'm on the pessimistic end of the scale and I think we'll be walking out of fortress Reebok on the end of a 3-0 drubbing. Yes, Birmingham are dross, but so were the other teams that have rolled us over recently.
But at least it's only football...right?!

Re: The Birmingham City Blues At Home
First home game of the season for me too. We have generally won when I have been present for the odd game over the last three seasons, even when HWSNBN and Coyle did their best to depress me. It seems more than the two and a half seasons since I last had a season ticket but I shall start to improve my attendances again should we win this game.
No score prediction apart from a win for the not so mighty Whites.

This is true. Even when we've had a fantastic run before we usually hit the buffers over Christmas or in early January.jaffka wrote:Another defeat I think as we always seem to be crap over christmas

It's difficult to motivate myself here. Fck, if the players can't be arsed to, why should I ??
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: The Birmingham City Blues At Home
Tim Ream vs Nikola Zigic should be good fun, but other than that yeah, I'm struggling to care.

Personally I've given this season. As much as it pains me to admit it. We need to stay up. We ain't doing owt else.
Forget the arguments about manager. He won't be changed yet good or bad. I just hope he can pull off some sort of Allardyceesqu minor miracle in January and the summer and somehow build a committed squad capable of fighting its way out of this division. For me any of the current players can go, I don't care. Not fussed about keeping any of em.
We all need to hope Freedman knows what he's doing cos there is no other way out of this now.

Fear ye not, for out of the mist will come a champion to save the day. Riding his dark steed, "Bentley" in from the hills, and bearing a shield emblazoned with five yellow cards, the legend that is "Super Kev" returns to the fore.

Re: The Birmingham City Blues At Home
For the third home match in a row, Ive given the ticket to my dad as I've got a family party. Not that he thanked me for it on Boxing Day.
I can see a cagey performance by two nervous teams. Frankly, as long as that sex case King doesn't score, I can't say I'm that bothered about the result. This season has already turned into a 'consolidation' season with a mid table finish.
