I'm liking more and more the way Doogie speaks.

Re: Mark Davies
Still no news, says the BN:
But the club yesterday remained silent on the severity of the problem, or how long it could be before the 25-year-old playmaker is able to return.

Re: Mark Davies
You could say the silence was ominous. But equally these things usually take a few days to fully assess, especially if there is swelling.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Still no news, says the http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... ssessed/BN:But the club yesterday remained silent on the severity of the problem, or how long it could be before the 25-year-old playmaker is able to return.
Based on how he went down, I'd be surprised if he was out for less than a few months, but you never know!

As did Jussi a few years ago when he did his knee against I think Tranmere at home during our promotion season.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Sorry, tidied HTML.

My feeling too. It doesn't take so long to say "better than we feared".officer_dibble wrote:Too quiet this. Gonna be bad news I fear.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Mark Davies
Must admit I keep checking for news.
Re: Mark Davies
Rumours (Daily Mirror so even using the word rumour is a bit harsh) are that he's out for 9 months.

Given the way he went down, I'm not surprised.keveh wrote:Rumours (Daily Mirror so even using the word rumour is a bit harsh) are that he's out for 9 months.
He's not getting much luck. Neither are BWFC, on the day he signed his new deal as well.
For me we could do with finding someone on loan. Given the issues around Eagles and this injury we look a little light in the attacking midfield area.
I think the diamond system is promising but doesn't work without Mark Davies ability on the ball.
Wonder who is available on loan? When does that window shut btw?

If nine months is correct it must be knee then, yes?

I've not seen the story. But I saw up close the injury. Studs got caught, knee twisted, went down holding his knee.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:So what is wrong? leg, knee, back, shoulder again?BWFC_Insane wrote:Given the way he went down, I'm not surprised.keveh wrote:Rumours (Daily Mirror so even using the word rumour is a bit harsh) are that he's out for 9 months.

I'm not sure there is a good story from when that happens.
At best you've tweaked something and are out for a month or two.
At worst....well, Stuart Holden could answer that.
Medial knee ligaments? Cruciate?
It's particularly bad news for Mark, because his game is built around twisting and turning and putting pressure on his knee.

Re: Mark Davies
What a shitter.
I suppose if we were looking loan-wise we'd be looking at a promising player from a Premier League team not getting game time. Powell at United could be the obvious choice?

Re: Mark Davies
Being hopeful here...could this rumour not just be something like 'well he's twisted his knee, so he might have done his ligaments, knee ligament injuries usually take around 9 months to get over, so let's say 9 months'.
