Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)

Less confident about home games than I am always at the moment. Long throw merchants, and will be up for revenge after our late show at their place. Still, they weren’t all that... I’m thinking new signing Declan John is going to play. Evatts thrown supposedly injured players in before and I’m predi...

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan

I think this is moving away from the original debate... I’m still undecided on Evatts brand of football...I don’t think we’ve seen anything approaching like what we were promised but there have been some flashes. We had on Monday what seemed like the perfect (at this level) pair of wing backs, now ...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread

I always thought (championship manager told me) that season long loans could be terminated in the window? It’s weird if we aren’t paying wages. I wonder if it’s an excuse to keep us all guessing...

So we need Fleetwoods permission to terminate old safe hands Crellins loan do we? That sounds unusual?

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan

Delaneys better in the air than Greenidge. He’s 6’4 isn’t he?? I think the suggestion is that Greenidge has looked more comfortable with the ball at his feet...that’s fine until he falls over it (which he did do against crawley). It would be one of the mentalist decisions in our history to pair them...

If there’s anyone here who would advocate a Santos/Greenidge centre half pairing please raise your hand and I will make your presence know to the doctors.

Isgrove to me just seems to be missing when you expect him to be there. Even for our goal that’s Sarce breaking down his side - where was he?

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan

If Kioso was available on Saturday he would come in for Delf (or Isgrove), same formation. Doesn’t look like he came on for Luton last night but he’s clearly not coming back at the moment, unfortunately.

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan

Delaneys winner at cheltenham was off a corner. short But yeah set pieces generally are poor. We had one corner tonight that ended up with Brocky on the halfway line.

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan

I thought that was fine. They're in the play-offs on PPG. New shape. Point was fair I think. Defo need another winger. Brockers doing his best and did fine but it's another square peg. Just need to look at Jones (motm for me) for for the difference. Looked lost at LWB. Excellent at RB. Full of runn...

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan

Would Kioso and John have made a big difference? Probably. Might of made us too open at the back though. When Exeter overloaded brockbank at the start of the second half we looked in trouble. Arthur coming on for Delf and actually moving and tracking the runner helped. I’ve had it with Delf, he’s t...
