Re: Going back to my Roots - Southend (A), 21/03/20, 3:00pm

Worlds gone mad. Imagine interviewing someone for a job and seeing 2018-20, professional FIFA player on the CV!

Re: The cheer us up memory lane thread

The official club you tube channel are re running the Forest game at 1230 tomorrow. https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2020/march/replay-bolton-wanderers-vs.-nottingham-forest-may-2018/ It’s a great idea. Personally I would have gone a bit further back - Newcastle on Boxing Day in a 4-3, beating yernited (...

I think it’s fair to say there are flaws in every plan. I had not seen that idea though. So respect!

Re: COVID-19/20 season

We don’t - but the level of player we have, I don’t see anyone walking off to join a club with plenty of cash put it that way. True, Dibs. However, to looks principally Darcy and Politic fer nowt will be particularly galling. To be clear, Politic is under contract until June 2022, but I know what y...

Re: COVID-19/20 season

Starting where we left off, reduced break and pre season, condense next season? I can hear Pep, Klopp and co with the 50 man squads squeal now...

Every answer has a counter problem.

Re: COVID-19/20 season

The one thing I’ve learnt from the last couple of days...nothing is predictable. The one constant is the indecisiveness of the EFL, they don’t fill me with one iota of confidence. How will the majority of league one and two survive financially without the gate receipts?? As we know, league places is...

Didn’t realise we were playing until now. Luke Murphy captain. That’s another low.

Re: Don the tin helmets and Plough on regardless, AFCW (A) 7/3/2020 3pm9

Blimey. This is poor. I watch National League ("Conference") football fairly regularly. This would be a below average quality game in that league. Honestly, I'm not exaggerating. There’s not much between conference and L2 IMO. Genuinely nervous the longer this wazock is in charge we will end up wit...

Re: Division Four, 2020-?

It only takes a few to spend 100k here n there to potentially make "nowt" a poor investment... I only takes a good manager and good decisions to more than compensate for that level of spending. Allardyce managed to do it spectacularly. Parky managed to do it less spectacularly but equally impressiv...

Re: FV Recruitment Model

Last I heard of David Lee he was telling us Parky was a moon man for not picking Alex Perry(?) who ended up at halifax town. Never quite understood the calls for him to be given a role. Jimmy Phillips has always struck me as a decent bloke with the clubs best interests at heart - but that doesn’t me...

Re: Keith Hill's School For Gifted Youngsters

Agreed, but they propped our first team up when there was none. I wish them all the very best. Usually, I wouldn’t even check the name list for who was released. I hope they all get fixed up with clubs.

BTW spare a thought for the lads who propped the first team up. Your Eddie Browns etc...could well be out on their arses this summer.

Re: The Keith Hill out thread

The bare minimum has to be we all start enjoying watching the games again. Winning fewer than ten games a season ain’t that fun. I dunno, I’d like to think we will be in a position to crack league two quickly when you look at the comparables but there is no divine right - Portsmouth were down there ...

They have binned that scout off after 3 months. Changes afoot it seems.
