Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

Given Verlinden is clearly going back for the 3rd round to stoke I hope we have the scouts (??) out for a creative midfielder type...

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

I suppose, on reflection, if we were going to have an off day we would all have picked this one. Could be out of all cups before November finishes though which is something to depress.

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

It’s a mixture of lack of ability when it counts (we all knew someone who was shit hot in training, shit in the match) and pure bad luck. He’s not going to cut it here. Might not be the end for him - look at Tom bloody eaves!

Re: Cod Almighty or Fleetwood Cack? (H) Sat 2 Nov, 3pm

Barton’s post match comments seem reasonable, surprisingly. Probably fancies a crack at managing us. Up the whites! Lowe top man. Edwards made a real difference, and helped Zouma relax. Luke Murphy appears to have turned a corner which is really positive...and the lads up top will get you goals! Ja...

We can just sign people and expect them to be fit now anyway, certainly not good ones.

Be nice to grind out a home result in trying circumstances. Fingers crossed Wright is fit. Earls definitely out I think. Hobbs presumably is in the Alnwick vortex of not existing in this dimension. There’s goals in O Grady and Murphy though which is something we’ve not had for a long time!

Again, Zouma was OK tue
Deffo a couple of times he was out of position / wandering. But for a guy with little first team football he’s doing ok??? I share the concerns of bwfc I regarding his career but I’m not writing him off yet!!

He’s certainly got a different approach to most has Keith.

The only mitigation for it really is the fact he was properly cheesed off at the bad luck with the injury, and the interview was probably conducted within an hour of it happening. I don’t think it’s right though; I’m not convinced he should even have subbed him.

Presumably the terms of the embargo therefore threaten us playing him, developing him, and him doing a Luca. It’s a kick in the balls isn’t it!

Re: Loanees available

Earls played two, injured in two. Not looking good. Alnwick clearly has issues outside of football which is a real shame. I don’t expect to see him play for us again. If that means he leaves in jan and it frees up a place it won’t have any impact whatsoever as we will need to fill it with a keeper. ...

Re: Loanees available

To be fair to Hill he is working within the confines of an embargo - he might be appealing to FV to loosen the purse strings or the EFL to look at the embargo. IIRC the last time we were under an embargo we got the nod to register Pratley after some injuries, after we thought he was out for the seas...
