Thomason captain then? Can’t have done much for santos confidence?
Sometimes it's just worth taking Santos out of the firing line. Captaincy doesn't help him avoid pressure.
It’s a decision that should have been made this summer. Reactive, not proactive now.

Re: Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.

I laughed at the ridiculousness of the fourth on Saturday and my reaction to a 4-0 was that should be that…. But wanting us to lose. Nope.

Re: Options for the next manager

The amount of players we’ve had in the last 15 years who are total non entities is frightening. We’ve wasted some cash haven’t we!

Would league one Presley or Spearing get into the current side? Remember Pratley coming back at Fleetwood and making a big difference to get us over the line.

Re: Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.

There’s enough of us have said we needed some leaders / characters signing.

Maybe Evatt doesn’t like to be challenged - rules like a bully?

Re: Options for the next manager

It’s basically cos of Kieran McKenna. So wouldn’t dismiss straight away. But the longer we persist with Evatt the less confident I am we know what’s required in a manager so the more left wing hires will then start to raise doubt for me. Whereas a Schumacher or whatever you think well he’s done that...

On the subject of pace I’m sure I recall an article last year saying Morley was the fastest at the club… which probably tells a story!

Rumours I guess, Sharon’s backed the current incumbent. I hope they are sounding people out though.

Re: Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.

Anyone answer the question - especially regular attendees, which player in this squad gets you off your seat? Who excites? I like Collins. I liked Charles a couple of seasons ago. Does not look happy now. I liked Maghoma last season and I’d like to see how Matete would fair in a proper formation. I...

Re: Terriers Barking, But Can Bolton Bite Back? - Bolton v Hudderfield - 14/09/2024 @ 3pm

We'd need Randy further forward I suspect. One of them anyway. I reckon you can get to Jan with: Bax (Coleman) (probably Southwood or whatever he’s called to be fair) JOT (Geth, JDC) - Santos (Forino) - Toal (Forrester) - Johnstone (Schon) Matete - Sheehan - Tomo (Dempsey/Arfield/Lolos) McAtee (Ran...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

Be interesting whether they bring anyone in at all. The statement i was expecting involved Craddock going, but as a side note to Evatt and Atherton. Would have thought Crainey stay for the weekend. What I reckon has happened is a bit of a ding dong at full time in the changing room between players a...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

I see Alan Nixon had headlined his story as ‘Bolton make backroom boy scapegoat’ Which is exactly what’s happened. No doubt the Bolton news will continue to be too scared to do anything critical. This is an absolutely disgraceful decision and I want evatt out regardless of any results. He’s got to ...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

If Evatt thinks Saturday was negative, if we go behind against Reading it will be Megson esq. There is no goodwill left amongst the supporters & his post match comments on Saturday made this much worse, it really is a sticking plaster decision by the owners & a very poor ill thought out one at best...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

She keeping it open for a new managers team? Not sure what you mean here DIbs? I suspect she's either bottled it or has more faith than me. I do know some Bolton fans who are saying give him a bit longer, but they're saying it quietly, and I understand that (and the rather louder howls of oppositio...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

She keeping it open for a new managers team? I dunno. Whole thing stinks really and the first misplaced pass on Saturday will get the boos… gonna be like megson again. There’s barely a post in support of him that isn’t from an opposition fan!
