Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
Nixon reports that Stockport want Forrester. If the price is right (though I can’t quite decide on what that is in the heat) then I’d let him go. Far too injury prone.
As for Thomason and Huddersfield, I’d much rather we kept him. £1m+ may change my mind though.

Re: Pre-season 2025
Ball just keeps rolling on that pitch, doesn't it. Johnston caught out but they were unable to capitalise.

Re: Pre-season 2025
Nixon is linking us to a Swansea keeper. I’m not paying the sub to find out which one. Any guesses? Some saying that its Nathan Broome - apparently he's in Marbella with the squad. Never heard of the lad. I thought he was a sweeper? :conf:  It will be live on BWFC Youtube: lkFMsDxIRDw

Re: Pre-season 2025
Thanks for the heads up!
Without further research, I presumed we were playing the Orlando from Florida, USA
No – they're from Soweto, South Africa.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
I'd welcome Rankin-Costello. Good experience, very versatile. And would add to our increasing ranks of double-barrelled surnames and three-letter signifiers. JRC, TSL, JDC, JOT, ACD, CMG... technically also CFJ (Chris Forino-Joseph) and SSA (Sonny Sharples-Ahmed), though they're both known by their...

I’d look to the centre backs. Have Johnston or Toal been vice cap before? I think Forino might be a good leader.Frank Drebin wrote: ↑Sun Jul 06, 2025 1:07 pmIf Thomason did leave, who then becomes captain? It has to be a regular starter.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
Chuks Aneke released from Charlton. He’s 31, 1.9m, a handful. Would anyone go for him for a back up striker if we’re only doing 1 up front?
Edit: Asked a mate who’s a Charlton fan, and he said Aneke is rarely fit.

It may have gone under the radar, unless I missed reading it on here, but Plymouth have signed Amaechi from Magdeburg. Remember him?

Re: League One 25/26 - the Runners and Riders, or Schumacher's First Strike
Blackpool have done some decent business: Horsfall, Ihiekwe (experienced CB pairing), Honeyman with midfield nous, and Ennis for being a defender's pain in the neck.

Iredale would've been handy at this stage. Probably happy to compete with Conway too.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
One option might - and I stress this is just me spitballing - be Dara Costelloe. Last summer Burnley sent the Irishman on loan to Accy, where he scored 5 in 21 from a combination of up top and left-wing; Burney fast-tracked him up a division to Northampton, where Nobby kept him up front and he scor...
